    Was a crazy 17-3 on the week before today including hitting on numerous WS props so I had a nice bankroll. Today is a regression to the mean. Lol.

    I think you also have to consider that the Packers by all accounts were expected to land Claypool before Poles stepped up the offer. So not only does it make the Bears better it keeps their rival from getting better at the same time. And Green Bay sitting there doing nothing at the trade deadline as they flounder may be the straw to break the Rodgers' back as far as his future there is concerned.

    And then it will be soul crushing when he horsefeathers it up and we miss the playoff again next season. It may take more than one draft and FA class to get a playoff qualifying roster, doesn't mean we cannot expect significant improvement on both side of the ball in 2023. Look at what the division projects out to be in 2023. If we can't compete with the Vikings for first next season I'd consider that a giant failure. Making the playoffs should be an expectation next year. A few years should be when we are looking at deep playoff runs.

    Hit on a Schwarber HR last night at +280 and Harper (+150) over 1.5 bases. Missed on Altuve (+135) over 1.5 bases. That was a nice little cash to start the week.

    Crazy thing is Velus Jones is older than Mooney, Claypool, and Harry despite being a rookie.

    He's 6'4" about 240 and runs a 4.42 40? I'll take it. Only under contract through 2023 before becoming an UFA.

Is that just because it would be a comp pick, though? Not that the bears would be sending anything back. Looks like he just misheard something on the radio so they were likely talking about the compensatory pick. My bad for not vetting that further before posting.
