  1. From a couple of weeks ago: http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/6784213/sec-commissioner-mike-slive-change-coming-ncaa
  2. The AD and president aren't going to come out in the press and say "If the LHN show HS games we are leaving for the SEC." But that's what is going to happen. I'd be willing to bet on that. Yeah, I laughed out loud when I saw that quote. Not sure what $Bill was smoking that day.
  3. They will still look to go to the Big 10 or PAC 12, with the PAC 12 being the more likely suitor based on the ESPN contract. I highly doubt that. Texas wants to be independent and the Big 12 cratering will be their excuse to do it. Why is it only hearsay? We have a standing offer from the SEC. Whether or not you want to believe it, that fact is true. Texas & ESPN are pushing the boundaries of the LHN pact that the rest of the conference agreed to. Why should we stand there and let Texas run over us when we can flip them the bird and head to a better conference? Look at the quotes from our president and AD in the past week or so. Do you think they're just blowing smoke? If ESPN & Texas insist on showing a conference game and, more importantly, Texas HS football games A&M will be gone as soon as possible, probably the 2013 season.
  4. I know that's what they want, but I think it is a huge gamble for them. Of course, I hope they fall flat on their face. It will be interesting to see if they can maintain independence for the long term like Notre Dame has.
  5. Huh? Have you not been following the Longhorn Network saga?
  6. Seems to me that ESPN is trying to bring about the end of the Big 12. They may get their wish pretty quickly.
  7. The way John Clayton is talking on Twitter, Kreutz is a goner.
  8. I could see him accepting a deal to the Rangers since he is from this area.
  9. The Pats released Ty Warren. GO GET HIM!
  10. Wow.
  11. I'd rather have Sam Fuld.
  12. Conner Brewer is not a bad drop from Kiel. That fact that they are fully in on DGB, with very legit changes on Peat and Agholor is awesome too. Finally some OOS recruiting. I love this new young staff. Why are you so excited about OOS recruiting? I'm not saying to never recruit outside Texas, but you can pretty much cover 90% or more of your needs in state, especially when you are the Longhorns.
  13. Roy Williams sucks. I sure hope we're not paying him much.
  14. Just because Martz is too stupid (stubborn?) to utilize him properly does not mean that he is not a very valuable football player.
  15. [expletive] motherfucking son of a bitch :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
  16. Why the [expletive] are we so anxious to get rid of Olsen? The dude is a playmaker.
  17. Anyone know anything about the prospects?
  18. A quick Google search shows he played at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Big difference.
  19. This person did not go to Texas A&M. I've never heard of him before.
  20. As what? A wide receiver? Would you like to buy a plasma TV on which you can watch Roy Williams play for the Bears? I have a great deal for you. http://www.star-telegram.com/2011/07/22/3240504/scam-artist-sells-plywood-tvs.html
  21. My bad. I will now sing "Bear Down, Chicago Bears" at the top of my lungs with extra emphasis on the "You're the pride & joy of Illinois" part in celebration of this move that will undoubtedly put us over the top. You're kidding, right? The only one engaging in ridiculous hyperbole over this guy is you. Yes, I've been joking all along. I thought that was pretty obvious.
