  1. He's hitting 273/337/459 so far this year and 324/378/568 since the all-star break. Hendry shouldn't have given up on a 24 year old after only 250 ABs. But, I guess he had to make room for Gathright.
  2. I'm sure the Cubs will use that pick on a great player that will be a 12 time all-star and hall of famer. That's what usually happens with the Cubs high draft picks, right?
  3. So, what's the Miles record now?
  4. This seems like a good time to let Fox catch a few innings.
  5. I really don't get all of the negative talk about Fox's defense. I haven't seen every game, but to me, he looks fine at 3rd. Last night Lou pulled him in the 9th for defense. He seems to make every play.
  6. That's what I was thinking. We're a Soto away from having out actual team out there. We could have Fox in there catching and the lineup would be much better. I know he's supposedly a terrible catcher, but I think his offense would make up for it. He would be up right now instead of Fontenot with two on and one out. Or Fontenot can do a Fox impression.

  8. You shouldn't be surprised when the Cubs don't hit Wandy Rodriguez.
  9. That call was Don Denkinger bad. Koyie Hill triple? And Dickerson finally missed one.
  10. Fox can freakin hit. He needs to be batting 4 times a day. I know he got out there, but that ball was smoked.
  11. I like how Brenly goes on and on about Bradley not backing up second. He's not going to mention the terrible throw Theriot made. Bradley probably wan't expecting Theriot to miss 2nd base by 10 feet on a 40 foot throw.
  12. We have one, Fox, but Lou won't let him hit.
  13. I'm glad Reed's in there giving Fox a day off.
  14. We could have Fox in RF and Fuku in CF, but the gritty veteran needs to be in there.
  15. I don't want him catching, but there's no reason he can't start at another position, and then if necessary move to catcher if Koyie gets a booboo. Fox is going to have to start dropping flyballs and looking horrible at the plate if he wants to play on this team. His .950 OPS can't get him in this lineup.
  16. Pitching to Dunn with first base open. Pretty smart. It's Ludwick last weekend all over again.
  17. I think I remember that. Todd Worrell was the pitcher. Wasn't it against the Cubs? About 87 or 88? It was in FACT Worrell...it was the year of the Seoul Olypics, whatever year that was....I remember because all the chicks in the bar wanted to see figure skating. Had to punch out a few of 'em. That was 88. For some reason that game has always stuck in my head. I had never seen that before.
  18. I can't believe this freakin cheater is going to shut em down in the 9th.

  20. we aren't going to score anyways and the cardinals are going to score at least 2 here, so who cares. I just realized Johnson is in for Soriano. So he won't bat. Lou's awesome managerial skills blew my mind there for a second.
  21. So Johnson's going to bat against Franklin in the 9th instead of Hoffpauir. Great.
  22. well rasmus keeps getting on base; i'm not sure it's a great idea to walk two guys in a row and intentionally load the bases even if ankiel and yadi suck ass. I think both of Ludwick's HRs have come with first base open. There was no reason to throw him an 88 MPH fastball down the middle.
