Hill looked safe. It didn't even look close.

That was horrible. With Coleman up next, getting to 3rd wouldn't have even helped much. Coleman would have bunted Fukudome to 2nd and Soriano probably wouldn't have been able to score anyway. Should have Castro up with two on.

If he wouldn't have walked Yuniesky Betancourt, he wouldn't have faced McGehee.

Because nothing good would happen anyways so you should just take the chance to score. I would rather have a man on 3rd than 1st.

Soto or Soriano should have knocked the run, but Ramirez should have scored on the double. He should have been standing on 2nd when the ball hit the wall and scored easily. And no, I'm not saying he doesn't hustle. Ramirez is dead to rights at 1B if he does that and Jones catches the ball. I can't fault him for not scoring there. I think he could get back on a ball to the wall.

Then they would be charging them with murder when they line it right back to their pitching coach, but it would be entertaining He said let them use aluminum bats, not "get rid of the L screen." Also, I've never seen anybody hit a ball back into the screen. Why would they do it with an aluminum bat?

are you kidding me? Hill really is playing again? At least we know the White Sox won't be stealing any bases today. NOBODY runs on Koyie Hill. He shuts down running games. Just look at the stats.

Why didn't Theriot just flip the ball to Castro? Or touch second himself? Tracy still should have made the play, but that was a horrible decision by Theriot with a runner going to third.

I guess with Tracy up and Theriot playing every day, we've seen the end of Fontenot.

It seems like I'm posting this in every game thread lately, but I'm really tired of hearing that Soto has to hit to stay in the lineup because Hill is so much better defensively. I don't get to watch every game, but I just don't see the greatness in Hill's defense. He's okay, but he's not that much better(if any) than Soto. Basestealers are 11-13 against Hill this year. -
Meh. Marmol gets a pass from me. He's near the bottom of the list of people to blame for this abomination imo. He actually has a few more passes saved up as far as I'm concerned. Somebody should have been yelling it at him. Hill, Ramirez, somebody should have been telling him. Gomez never moved. Thats an easy DP and the game would have basically been over.

Marmol made a mistake catching that bunt. Gomez never ran. Drop it, throw to 1st then get Weeks. Somebody should have been telling him.

Hendry could probably get a couple of decent players for Soto. Might as well do it. Lou can't put up with him allowing all these stolen bases. We need Yadier Hill back there. He's thrown out 20% this year. He single handedly shuts down running games. And we all know what he can do with the bat.

Didn't Lou say something about Fontenot playing for a while? He got, what, two games and then we're right back to Theriot. And Hill is throwing out 22% of base stealers this year. Soto's at 20%. Stop acting like Hill is Yadier Molina.
