  2. when kevin hart reaches his 10th start, we're all going to wish he had randy
  3. maybe the experts are just idiots
  4. screw it, just go for it. sign 8 injury prone starters, at any given time 5 of them will likely be healthy
  5. You guys are just stupid. Let's look at Tim Tebow passing versus Alabama, and their good pass defense. He threw 22 passes. and none of this includes YAC yards, but just how for downfield that the passes were. 8 of the 22 were between 10 and 20 yards downfield. That would be 36%. 5 of the 22 were between 5 and 10 yards downfield. Four of his passes were less than five yards downfield. Let's look at them. 1 was a screen pass that was dropped. That was the ONLY screen that they ran. 1 was a ball he threw away, it barely made the line of scrimmage. The other was a triple option that became a pass. Yes, it was an option. They only got 6 yards total, so not a lot of YAC yards. The other one was when he held the ball for a good five seconds looking downfield and then dumped it off when there was good coverage. Of his eight shortest passes, five of them were inside the ten yard line (ie they couldn't go down field). The other six pass plays? Down the field for more than twenty-five yards. So..breaking it down: 23% 25+ 36% 10-19 23% 5-9 18% 0-4 Oh, and let's look at passing plays when they weren't inside the red zone. 29% 25+ 47% 10-19 11% 5-9 11% 0-4 That's a damn vertical passing game if I ever saw one. It's only one game, but if those ratios hold true or even close to true over the course of the season, Florida might have one of the top two or three most vertical passing games in country. The only teams I can think of that pass deep as often as Florida are Georgia and maybe USC. if tebow ever had to throw the ball down the field, he'd be turned into an average at best qb
  6. Have they thrown for nearly 7000 yards the last two years with a grand total of about 10 or 11 inteceptions? it's embarrassing that florida has even thrown 11 interceptions since all they do is dump the ball off 2 yards down the field
  7. nope, i agreed with you on that
  8. We're too busy discussing the latest vegan restaurant to open up in West Hollywood, protesting gay marriage bans, and doing other coastal elite type things to follow college football too closely. It's just par for the course outside of Real America. what are you talking about, im just saying that you dont know anything about football because you dont follow it outside of assuming that you've won whatever game it was you last played in look at your compadre voice of reason over there, he's even more clueless than you are, and instead of trying to argue otherwise, he just pointed out that there's more to do in california (obviously). he basically agreed with me I don't know anything about football because I don't agree with some of your preconceived notions of the game. That's really what you're getting at. And the idea of satire, hyperbole, and sarcasm seems to be completely over your head. You see, when I responded to your accusation that I don't follow the game, I came back with a satiric characterization of myself as some effete California liberal who finds football beneath him. I would admit that a lot of those "fans" exist at USC (and California in general...) but I'm not one of them. But to make the blindingly obvious even more apparent I'll just say I'm not some milquetoast fair weather fan. I've followed, played, and discussed football religiously my entire life, perhaps to a fault, and certainly do more than open the sports page (who reads newspapers in print anymore?). Apparently you think that posting on a Chicago Cubs message board about an unrelated sport doesn't seem to contradict your characterization. i invented satire, hyperbole and sarcasm posting about football on a baseball board doesn't contradict my characterization when every time you talk about football, you're wrong. It just proves me right. it's ok to be wrong though, you just have to admit when you are.
  9. dude, he wouldnt make fun of mccoy. he told me that texas is his favorite team and if they played florida he would root for texas oh wait they lost a game forget about them go gators

  11. usc fans are worthless. they dont watch other football games and they barely pay attention to their own. *opens sports page* "well we won, sweet" *brags on message boards* *cant name 5 players on their own team*
  12. what were the odds that this thread gets made without a post from jeffh on the first page

  19. what about OU's 2000 championship season
  20. getting dismantled in the outback bowl, meph knows all about that (though he probably wasnt a florida fan in 2003)
  21. derwood, florida is going to try and pressure sam bradford so that he doesn't have time to make his reads and check down that's what the previous 19 paragraphs just said
  22. all this wall of text tells me is that youre a virgin we have the best o-line in the nation, and mossis madu does everything demarco murray does in the backfield. we're going to lose, but it's not going to be because of some little [expletive] corner back
  23. if that little bitch cant even take out a white tennessee qb, we're going to have a field day
  24. what is this [expletive]
