  1. I'm trying to remember what it's like to have any part of the lineup where you go "alright, those guys are coming up!" god youre a miserable piece of [expletive]
  2. this is already the longest game thread we'll have all season.
  3. literally 0 wins thanks theo
  4. here's a general rule, if there are already questions about if an 18-year-old is gonna stick at catcher, he's not going to stick at catcher. with the way offense is trending down, the catcher position is gonna end up being the fat guy version of the shortstop position imo
  5. I always thought they should be providing top notch nutrition and stuff to aid in their development. I was actually surprised to learn that they don't. Yeah, take a look at how top college football programs handle nutrition. Doesn't matter if you will see the field or not.
  6. tyler kolek is a hunk who cares im a pitcher too
  7. I want a high school pitcher so what
  8. I set the reserves on the roster limits back down to 3. It should give the red banner now. yeah, as soon as I said that i went and dropped a guy and it told me how i needed to edit my roster. thanks.
  9. lol in the other league you get a big giant pop up that says "YOUR ROSTER IS ILLEGAL." so i've just been looking for that.

  11. What the hell you just characterized the most fun period I've experienced in 19 years as a Cubs fan as part of the dark ages I really only had "fun" one of those years, and I guess you could name Aramis during that time period. But there were no compelling players, in my opinion, in that little three-year window. Not that Sandberg was compelling, but I was a kid.
  12. Sandberg was my favorite during his era. Sammy was my favorite during his era. (dark ages) Baez will be my favorite during his era. Sandberg wins my vote because I was a kid when he was my favorite.
  13. 6 years, $144.5 million. Gonna hit the market again at 28.
  14. Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Dawson is the only one that comes close.
  15. Either one would look good on the Cubs. We may have Marte in Lake we have parte of marte in lake (the strikeouts)
  16. the odds that kolek (or any elite HS pitcher) stays healthy and develops is be lower than the odds that a HS hitter also develop. I'd rather swing for the fences
  17. Really? You challenge Baez with Alfaro? http://i.imgur.com/x8tCMTt.gif i think that guy is just a sycophant who knows that Parks (if I remember right) is a big gay for alfaro
  18. http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/10628418/mlb-division-previews-based-formula-clubhouse-chemistry-espn-magazine this might seriously be the stupidest [expletive] i've ever read in my life
  19. nabbing an injured upside guy in the 2nd is way different than making sure to get the right guy at the top of the first round. I wouldn't mind another Pierce Johnson situation. It's like getting a Pierce Johnson vs. a Rob Zystryzny. yeah but what im replying to is "why dont we avoid drafting a hs pitcher early in the first round, because they get hurt. The we overdraft a hitter that doesn't belong there, then draft a hs pitcher who's already injured."
  20. im so terrified of drafting high school pitchers because they might get injured that i want to tailor my draft around drafting a high school pitcher that's already injured. great plan
  21. 78th time this spring I've gone "oh they're at Wrigley?"
  22. god, that outfield ...
