    I'm sure this was posted here already, but it's new to me and just fantastic: its so good. i showed it to a female co-worker the other day who is only watching the playoffs because she knows I like the cubs and even she has been totally taken in by baez

    i had joked about bringing in some dude from the 2012-14 to sit on our bench like doug glanville in 03 or something, but she'll do too *addison russell's ears perk up*

    not a single moment of that lingers with me. I think it helps in a way that Wood and Prior both died after that, because i feel so disconnected from that team at this point that i couldn't care less what happened then. I was even thinking last night that if the cubs do the remarkable and win the world series this year, ill be glad that it's this year's team that did it and not that year's team.

    Dude I don't know, maybe I'm just lame but I need a day off to savor the last 2 wins and prepare for tomorrow. My stomach has not allowed me to eat or digest food properly since the last off day. Need to recoup. Plus a Saturday game is much more enjoyable than Friday. I can get there early and soak up the scene before finding a bar to watch the game. yeah, this off day is perfectly timed. Go half-ass it at work, go check out a movie, spend all day tomorrow doing yard work and then fire up the grill for game 6. if that fails, rinse repeat on sunday. This is the best case scenario
