Woo!!! I am in the lead. Amazing how things can look up when you get some quality starts. Now if Zimmerman and Lopez can get over the flu.

My two Johnsons, plus Garcia(?) are on the list. Of course it should be noted that in this league if a player is not real good, he is not worth holding onto.

My pen has been good, especially Jones. But -26 points from Contreras is difficult to overcome. If I had benched Contreras and started Vazquez , I would have 59 more points. That would change a bad week into a very good one.

I checked the team stats page. It seems thatmy offense is leading the league, but my pitching is second to last :cry:

What's that? I suppose you are also unfamiliar with the word "Green" as in "Green Vegetation" :) I lived in So Cal for awhile (Fontana), but it was weird. Rivers that never had any water in them. A spring that lasted two days if you were lucky. No fall colors.... The San Bernardino mountains were really beautiful on the one, or two days out of the year that you could actually see them.

Finally, CBS scoreboard is accurate. Meche has 0 points, while Vazquez (who is benched) earned 30 :x If I lose, I will definitely think it was due to poor management and not because of my team. This seven start limit requires a little more thought for us managers who do not have surefire aces. Note: It would be nice if the Pitcher Starts Remaining on the scoreboard was accurate. I almost forgot how many starts I had this week, so I had to check my stats page. I still have the lead, but Tampa and KC better have slugfests today. Either that, or the cold better force the cancelation of the games.

CBS is really slow today. It's about 5AM local time, and the score board still has the Texas/Boston game in the 2nd inning.

CBS Sportsline "LIVE" scoring has been pretty dead at times this year. Hopefully, the situation will improve. Millwood had a pretty good showing, so I may still pull this one out. I would feel much better if I had left Vasquez in instead of Meche. Thomas had a grand-slam today. I think I am going to like my team once my pitching is sorted out. I think there will be several of you that will have regreted not taking me up earlier when I tried to dump Dukes.

I forgot that there were several other west coasters in this league. I remember when I lived in Chicago as a kid. Man it was hard to see all those people on TV enjoying the spring weather when it was still winter where I was. I get a similar sensation now-a-days when I fly to distant cities and realize that some pewople don't have continuous rain for 6 months out of the year.

Well, I am in the lead for the moment, but I have used up all of my starts except for Millwood tonight. I have to laugh at myself. After Contrares is shelled, and Buehrle injured I developed a huge mistrust of White Sox pitching. So, I benched Vazquez...now he has a shutout in the seventh :wall: Granderson and Dunn had decent preformances today.

I think it is too early to worry about the number of K's. From what I have seen, the K's will come as he matures as a pitcher. -
Hopefully he didn't get hurt too bad off that line drive I benched him yesterday, so I should be OK for this week. According to CBS, the x-rays are negative. I hope CBS's scoreboard has him benced. They have him listed as a reserve and in the starters column (although he is shaded dark grey). I lost out on Jones, Granderson, and Thomas because of the postponement. But if it means that you do not get starts from Bonderman or Halladay along with a day of IRod.... :pl:

If you want to bench your starters for the rest of the week, I'll let you. :D Meanwhile, I put Gomes in at Utility and Baldelli on the bench since Baldelli had a hamstring problem. Baldelli is playing in Gomes' place at DH and I'm getting nothing at Utility. Can I switch these guys? Gomes has zero at bats so far this year. I will need some good pitching to catch you. Two homeruns from Beltran helps. I am liking the looks of my hitting and pen, but my pitching... My hopes for the season really depend on the White Sox. Contreras, Buerhle, Vasquez, and ex-sox Garcia. Ask the commish about the move. I think exceptions can be made due to injuries. If a player was supposed to be benched due to an injury, but starts playing again they can be inserted midweek into the line-up, but I am not sure....Juan????

If I had not started Contreras and Lowe and gone with no starters I would be in this game. My relievers and offense are doing fine. Granderson had a nice day today:)

Sounds like Mercedes is at Ex ST. Not too surprising. He is still young and should excel at Boise.

Pedro Feliz for Joe Mauer and a 4th round pick. Admittedly was was just a prospect then, but it was worth the wait. Picking up Dunn during the off season may have also been a good move. Especially if he has more days like today. -
Well my pitching has fallen apart today. Contreras I was worried about, but Lowe too.
