  1. Quakers

    Week 11

I am 6-5 also, but my last two wins were against teams with losing records. At least Mauer seems to be healthy again. I really need Kendrick to come alive too.
  2. yeah, when a 6-10, 43 year old with a history of back problems and nearly 4,000 innings under his belt goes down you have to wonder if someone's out to get you. :D lol :-({|= Relax, we all can sympathize with you when your Johnson goes on the DL....not  I prefer to refer to him as my "Big" Johnson! How is your wife reacting to this news. If your johnson is Dl'ed for too long she may be tempted to look for another.

    Week 11

Well the Quakers are winning again this week. But this time it is our defense, which has limited a tough opponent to around 100 points.

  5. Thanks to Mr. Lowe, the Quakers might return to winning ways this week :D
  6. I think I had a reliever, Jones, beat that is less than an innings worth of work.
  7. This is nice. I haven't been in the lead in weeks. :D My team seems to play better against tougher competition. are you saying i'm not tough competition? Uh...Yah....... :D

  9. Don't know much about Heredia, but I am surprised that the Cubs held on to Puello this long.
  10. wow, I haven't witnessed a more painful season since last year. You haven't been a Cubs fan for long...Heh...Sonny
  11. Judging by the first day's results, my shake-up did little good.
  12. I had to shake up my team. I hope it works. Two new starters, one reliever, Thomas is dropped and Reynolds is called up. I need Mauer to return to form ASAP.

Why is Myers benched? I didn't think you could change relievers in the middle of the week, only starters.???? he's hurt. oh..

    Week 8

I am not sure what others are doing, but there has been a couple of weeks I had a sure victory as long as I didn't get negative points from a shaky starter, so I went with 6 starts instead. Wow. How chickenshit of you. :D Well after Contreras during week 1....

    Week 7

I wished I shared your optimism in my ability to bounce back. This just has not been my week. Sigh.... Yeah, I'm running away with this now. I'll thank Cabrera for getting your team off to a bad start. Not just Cabrera, but Dunn has 3.75 points for the week, Beltran has just 14, Mauer normally has 20 some points but he is injured and his replacement has -1 points. To top it off I have had little starting pitching. I began our game with high hopes. I had knocked off the Lynx and NSBB during the two previous weeks.

And you you thank Cabrara. Early returns on the Fuentes trade are decidedly negative.

    Week 7

Let's see, Alamo has Beckett placed on the DL, I have Millwood placed on the DL....A quick check of the math...and yes...I think I get the better part of the deal. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.
  22. The WC has grown up. I remember seeing him play for Boise. Man, was he overmatched by NWL pitching at that point in time. I am starting to see why Mercedes is still in EXST.
  23. I just realised that next week is the start of interleague play. The big Hurt will take a big hit.
  24. I am only a few points behind Raw
  25. Mauer is on the DL, so I picked up Olivio and moved Mauer to the bench. Must be some sort of devine retribution for my two Johnson rant earlier this year. Now I have Mauer, Josh and Nick Johnson, Millwood, and Kendrick on the DL. And to top it off it looks like Freddy Garcia may be on it soon too. :wall:
