If you read the update, Cordero has been placed on the DL, its just that CBS has not listed him as such yet. So I moved him to the DL. Beckett is officially on the dL, but is scheduled to start on Sunday. So I have activated him. We are locked in a close one. Both of us have two starts left. My final two starts as Beckett and Zambrano. Who are yours? When you compare our scores to the rest of the league we are not doing too bad. HBC has the top score at the monment with 224. Most teams are below 200. My problem has been Dunn and Zito.
No I have used 4 starts too. Zambrano, Zito, Arroyo, and Jurrjens. Westbrook, Zambrano, and Beckett to come. Slowey, Buchholtz, Jurrjens, and Blackburn could be good.
Did I do something wrong? If so change it. Beckett is on the DL. So I had a bench spot available. Cordero is day-to-day. So I picked up Gregg and put him in the line-up as a RP. Cordero is not on the DL, but benched. Beckett should come off the DL on Sunday. At that point I will have to decide to dump Gregg or Cordero. That will depend on Cordero's health. I don't know the rule and of course since I'm matched against you it's worth bringing up. It's also as much for my future knowledge as the fact that we're matched up. I want to know too. Whenever I make a move that might be questioned, I post it so that I can get a ruling from our commish. But I would like to win and will take adavntage of every opportunity the law allows. Kind of like paying taxes. I want to pay my fair share, but why pay more than you have to.

i thought that only applied to pitchers. it's my understanding that you would be able to pick up a FA to replace a day-to-day injured position player. So I see you changed the waiver issue already. So i picked up Gregg, Cordero is on my bench, and I have room since Beckett is currenty on the DL. sure, so long as you don't exceed the roster limits. and don't put the injured guy on your DL unless he's really on the DL.
Let's see if I remember the replacement policy. If I have a player who is Day-to-Day, I can bench him, but I cannot pick up a FA to replace him. It would have to be someone who stated the week as a reserve or in my minors. Right? The only way I can pick up a FA and placehim in the line up is due to a trade or someone being placed on the DL.
No. :D Well so far Zimmerman has a K .... not quite what I wanted  Oh no....Cordero has shoulder stiffness :( WOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTT. Zimmy baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My guess is that right about now every Roadkill manager thinks that his team is the best and it is just a matter of a few weeks before the rest of the managers realize it. Therefore no one needs to make a trade. I am not sure why everyone else is so delusional
Finally, the seson starts for me tonight. Zimmerman and Cordero are with the Nationals. Both had a good spring, which I hope continues into the regular season. Two homeruns for Zimmerman and a save for Cordero please
That's a little better, but still pretty lame. How about some talk about are injury situation. For me Beckett is the only player on the DL, but it is looking more and more like the just didn't want to risk having their star pitcher fly to Japan. Besides, it was only fitting that Dice-K start. Other than that my biggest headache is Votto. He has had a slow spring and with Dusty as the manager....Also, Dusty told Dunn to swing at everything so Dunn's average is currently around .190. Dusty could really screw me up this year
One would think that hurdles would be his thing. He's crazy fast and can jump like that. Maybe the high jump? I don't know - maybe baseball just isn't his thing. Let's get a little perspective here. He has a Major League career, and he hasn't been the worst player either. He'll be arb eligible soon and will eventually make a couple of million dollars by the time he's in his early thirties. I think he "made it." Amen.
