  1. lol What else would you tell him to do?
  2. If so let's see if we can get the schedule changed so we can play the Pirates for the rest of the season. :D
  3. Quakers

    Week 3

The first week a player is in the league they have to go through the waiver process. I know that I am going to check out the recent additions each Saturday night.

  5. .194 BAA for the S-man .145 BAA for the Rhee man Me Likey. :D
  6. Quakers

    Week 3

I picked up Derosa on waivers, so I benched Aybar. All of this was due to Kendrick going on the DL. It looks like I am going to win this week. I must confess that I am a bit surprised. After Buchholz blew his start, I thought I had no chance.
  7. Quakers

    Week 3

My killer defense is coming through this week. Despite only having 220, I have a 60 point lead.
  8. Quakers

    Week 3

CBS says Kendrick is on the DL, so I brought up Aybar. If Kendrick can stay healthy I think he has a chance to break .400. I know, I know, but the guy can hit.

    NC loves his Wang.

No, as long as he has under the limit (10 starts, 200 ABs in a season, ? pitching appearances) he can be moved back into the minors. Once he exceeds those limits, then the only way he can be in the minors is if he actually is in the minors (ie Colon).

What was the new rule again? 100 ABs or 5 starts before you burn an exemption?

    Week 2

Judging by the response I got when I attempted to trade him, you view seems to be shared by others. Hopefully in a few weeks he will be showing signs of recapturing that CY Young form

    Week 2

Blackburn's start has been pushed off to Monday. So I picked up Lehan. Today is the day. If I can't get back into it today.... And yes I am having similar thoughts. Buchholz, Blackburn, Jurrjens, Slowey,... Once they reach 10 starts I will have some decisions to make. Do I go with youth and the exemptions, or do I stick with Zito and Arroyo. The reduction of the keeper point total has really upped the value of exempt players and draft picks.
  14. Quakers

    Week 2

The Twins have placed Slowey on the DL, so the Quakers have matched that move.

    Week 2

I am down by 40 points, but I have used 3 starts and The Eyes of Texas have used 5. This wekend should be interesting. It would be nice if my team played a better defense though. Both D2 and TEOT have scored well in the week I played them.

Mine too. Actually that is my favorite thing. I don't like the day to day fantasy leagues anymore way to time consuming, plus it makes you really look at the entire week and plan based on that. Especially if you are in a league where one guy keeps dropping and adding new pitchers every day based on who is going to start that day. My understanding too. A player has to be day to day to be removed (CBS injured symbol) and then he can be removed, but only to the bench or dropped. I moved Cordero to the bench for that reason. The DL is just for players officially on the DL. I always thought that once a player started playing again he could then be reinserted. I too, am not in favor of the suckiness policy. If a manager starts a player who sucks, then the manager has to live with his/her mistake until the end of the week. BTW - No offense guys but we need some female managers. Preferably really good looking ones who have a thing for middle aged math teachers :) But I digress.
  17. I think Reynolds has been clutch and won it for the Quakers, but with the scoreboard acting up I do not think we will be certain who won until tomorrow morning. This fantasy business gets to you. I was almost hoping that Tejada hit one out against Wood in the ninth. Imagine a fantasy game taking such importance that it overshadows such real life concerns like who wins a Cubs game. ;)
  18. A nice start to the season. This one is close. Furcal is still in action for you and Reynolds for me. :D
  19. :pig:
  20. WTF ... I take a nap and wake up to find Beckett sucked... Lohse is out pitching Beckett and Zambrano?????? Arg......What is it with Cardinal pitching?
  21. Howard still exempt?
  22. Agree. Consider it done. Heck, let's make it around 1300-1400. I'll match up: Pujols ARod J Upton Hamilton Hermida Verlander Gallardo Hughes Chamberlain Parra against what everyone else can keep at that point level! 8-) Zambrano Beckett Buchholz Blackburn Jerrjens Slowey Votto Kendrick Reynolds Maybin
  23. Yeah I was a bit surprised when I logged on this morning and found myself behind. But I gotta like my chances to win since I am up two starts to one. Especially with Zambrano and Beckett as my two starters..
  24. Not what could have happened to change your mind :-k You are still going to lose.
  25. His replacement, Blackburn, did a nice job in his place. Maybe Blackburn's talent helped the Twins to reach their decision. :-k
