  1. http://www.weather.com/weather/local/60613 Cool but comfortable? http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_ord_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg Thanks Goony......
  2. Welcome back Kerry ! Do it. 3 wins in a row......
  3. Maybe we can just play the Nationals every game....
  4. It actually is kinda humorous. I hear ya but I'm a huge Kerry fan ( from your sig I assume you are too) and I don't think I can handle another DL stint......sooooo I am trying to stay very positive......
  5. Well, we won the first game of this series so lets try something really novel and win the 2nd as well.
  6. 6.1 innings 97 pitches 7 K 2 BB 1 HBP BTW----SportsPickle.com has this to say about Kerry. http://www.sportspickle.com/features/volume5/2006-0517-wood.html Personally, i don't think its funny.....
  7. Excellent news. A great big Welcome Back to Mr. Kerry Wood
  8. RBI is a counting stat. Rate stats are more meaningful. Pierre has driven in 2 of 38 baserunners...... 0.053 Guzman has driven in 1 of 5 baserunner.......0.200 How's that ? Txs Fred...i'ma likin' that stat....maybe Guz can patrol center field
  9. RBI is a counting stat. Rate stats are more meaningful. True...but I think you get my point.
  10. Guz is now 1 behind Pierre in RBI this yr.......Wow
  11. Thank you for the thread and the links. Again, I have a lot more interest in this game than the Cubs vs. Padres. Good Luck Kerry !
  12. Even with my limited baseball knowledge I understand it is not a good thing to see the opposing team's pitcher bat in the 1st inning.
  13. Well, I haven't missed one of Marshall's starts yet so I better watch this game. Go Cubs ! A 2 game win streak would not be asking for too much.
  14. J/K...He was at the Brewers/Padres game last night w/ Rick Sutcliffe. Thot it was funny....anyhow. http://www.madison.com/tct/sports/pro/index.php?ntid=83481&ntpid=1 Murray wrestling w/ Bellhorn.....ha
  15. Cole Hamels, the 22 yr old Phillies left-hander, will make his MLB debut tomorrow vs. The Reds. Cole Hamels: Individual Stats (Pitching) Team From To W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV IP H R ER HR BB SO Clearwater Threshers 04/06 04/25 1 1 1.77 4 4 0 0 0 20.1 16 8 4 0 9 29 Scranton-Wilkes Barre Red Barons 04/25 05/10 2 0 0.39 3 3 1 1 0 23.0 10 1 1 0 1 36 These stat lines probably look messy...sorry...but in Hamels last 3 starts he has 36 K's over 23 innings and only 1 walk. Has anyone seen him pitch w/ Scranton ? The media seems to be throwing the "Phenom" moniker around him.
  16. I agree with this call. IMHO, I don't see The Trib making this move. I think they will make a push for Bobby Valentine, who I believe has 1 year left on his Chiba Lotte Marines contract. For some reason I believe management will be influenced by how well The White Sox did with Guillen and go for a manager that is a little fiery.....but not Piniella
  17. This is a great cause and MLB is at least getting on board with it. It is so predictable and tiring how these threads turn into the same "jokes".
  18. Don Zimmer
  19. Clearly Understanding Baker's Stupidity
  20. Isn't it an old baseball adage that "Speed never slumps" or did Joe Morgan only say that ? or is Juan Pierre the exception to the rule ?
  21. So true, so true. I will watch this game anyway after sitting out last night's debacle. Here's to hoping for a wi........oh just forget it.
  22. I just read this game thread.....(maybe i need to get a life....sigh)....thanks for all the info. I am very excited by Kerry's rehab start...yes, I realize it is Class A...but great to hear nonetheless... Again, thanks for the game description by everyone involved Go Kerry !.......get back now...or pretty soon....or...
  23. Oops...my bad....i'll fix my post....not enough coffee yet for me
  24. Speaking of comedic, did anyone see Jacque Jones throw to home on the play that scored the run? It bounced where the 2nd baseman typically stands prior to the pitch. What was up with that? I don't think it made it 50 feet in the air. I saw that....a 2 hopper to the cut-off man.....ridiculous.. I give the announcer credit (not sure if it was Brenly) but he said he had been seeing too many of these "lame" (my words) throws from Jock.
