Better bench Murton forever, then! Stop being dramatic. I'm just saying, through what I've seen of the season, Floyd's been a better player. And we NEED to win right now, not play Murton for the heck of it. You disagree with either of those statements? There don't seem to be many people who think we can win this year. Everyone is like "Floyd is old, what happens then?" Right now, Floyd is producing, Murton isn't. In this weak division, anyone can win, and as last year showed, all you need to do is make the playoffs and then ANYTHING can happen. Thank you! I keep hearing that Murton isn't producing, but he clearly did yesterday, if we want to play the sample size game. He's had a rough day today, but there is another thing to be concerned with Floyd's durability. Cliff clearly is playing on his last tendon strands, and it doesn't look that good. We can't continue to play him all the time. We really can't, because his career will end due to achilles injury. Theriot is not an OF for this team, as much as a hot start he has gotten off to. Beyond this, Murton is better than Jacque, who we should unload anyhow. This is a marathon, not a sprint. If we needed to win three of four to make the playoffs, then play fast and loose, but to risk Floyd so early or bench Murton because of a few bad games so early in the season when he is only spot starting anyhow isn't just dumb, its criminally negligent.
