So...he is worth exactly .007 of a run, per plate apearance, over the average ML hitter. That's not even considering the fact he plays a corner outfield position. Edmonds (w/ Cubs) -- .078 Johnson -- .016 Fontenot -- .055

    I'm not too familiar with Atkins, but I do agree with the notion that allowing another pitcher would be ideal here. Samardzija is doing great in the pen, and I just don't see the need to move him. We have plenty of other options.

    Rotoworld -- Needing to tweak their rotation due to Wednesday's doubleheader, MLB.com reports that the Cubs may give Jeff Samardzija his first start Sunday. Samardzija was a starter in the minors, but has worked exclusively out of the bullpen during his time with the Cubs. He'd face the Marlins if he gets the call Sunday. http://tinyurl.com/5nvau3
