You guys arguing amongst each other about this topic are doing the same thing Z and Theriot did - letting a losing streak lower your tolerance, your patience, your sense of teamwork, bla bla. Everyone calm the hell down.
fukudome (last 7 days): 200/273/200 He also has a RV/PA of .007 for 2008 as a whole. RV/PA is run value per PA above average. So...he is worth exactly .007 of a run, per plate apearance, over the average ML hitter. That's not even considering the fact he plays a corner outfield position. Edmonds (w/ Cubs) -- .078 Johnson -- .016 Fontenot -- .055
I'm not too familiar with Atkins, but I do agree with the notion that allowing another pitcher would be ideal here. Samardzija is doing great in the pen, and I just don't see the need to move him. We have plenty of other options.
Rotoworld -- Needing to tweak their rotation due to Wednesday's doubleheader, MLB.com reports that the Cubs may give Jeff Samardzija his first start Sunday. Samardzija was a starter in the minors, but has worked exclusively out of the bullpen during his time with the Cubs. He'd face the Marlins if he gets the call Sunday. http://tinyurl.com/5nvau3
molina's such a good defensive catcher. he just saves a wild pitch, almost gets lee straying too far from first, then wisely goes and tells franklin to calm down
I understand he's a Cub, but you guys should not be using the term "Jimmy Ballgame" or "Hollywood" after the way you treated him for the last 8 seasons. That's just so wrong. this comment is total fail
