I don't live in Chicago, but the only people I meet that like that WS are either hipsters or the type of people who wear jean shorts to swim. There's only one WS fan I've ever met that I didn't actively dislike, and he was some old fat guy. So anyway, I probably hate the WS more. I definitely hate the WS more. The Cardinals are like a cult almost, annoying, but they do know their stuff. They're sometimes even able to overcome the rivalry to just talk baseball with you since theres shared heritage between them and us. White Sox fans on the other hand - they're just bad all around. Impossible to have a conversation with. Little brother syndrome, unwashed, drunk on cheap beer, smelly, violent, etc etc. Also Hawk Harrelson.
