This is really big news. Tosh Luopi is probably the best recruiter in the Pac-12 and has is responsible for Cal's fantastic recruiting class this year and last. I think there's a strong possibility this year's class will fall apart - it will be interesting to see what happens since many of Cal's top recruits and commits are legacies or local kids (including Armstead). Wait Tosh is the one who left? How the hell did Cal let him go in Conference, I wasn't thinking and assumed it was someone else? He's probably one of the top 5 recruiting assistants in the country. Tosh is a Cal alum too and grew up in the Bay area. I heard Washington's new DC, Justin Wilcox, was Tosh's mentor and that's why he left. Still, it's stunning. Washington is going to be recruiting with USC and Stanford now, they're going to be killing it going forward. Don't forget about Free Shoes U!

Sounds like Venables is gone too, thought everyone I have talked too would prefer Stoops anyways. If will make the rednecks happy I will give you Blake Gideon for the next 5 years. [expletive] you can have Case McCoy too.

So Alabama is up to 27 commits even though the SEC put in a hard cap of 25 commits per year regardless of attrition. Satan has already told one of the commits he won't be able to sign until next February even thought he was the 7th commit they had this year.

I've never really heard any questions about Shannon as a DC, but it would explain him continuing to not get a job. The hiring of Sunseri did kind of hurt us, as Saban has hired away Lance Thompson to fill Sunseri's former role. Much as I like Wilcox, Sirmon, and Baggett, losing Thompson hurts more than any of them, I think. Fantastic coach and recruiter who apparently was pretty pissed that he was passed over for the DC job here. Heard some of the same things when he interviewed at Texas too. Mostly sounds like a one trick pony when it comes to defensive schemes, not very good at making adjustments, and was also said to have been a terrible interviewer or at least he was at the Texas interview. However as a DC his defense's were always ranked towards the top.

This and if the terms come down to where we want then it still makes sense. We are in a better position w Rizzo regardless as either our 1st baseman or as trade bait later. With Rizzo on board it makes the Cubans more of a priority for me though. -
That would be a huge get, if you can convince him to play OT and not DT it would be even better. I've been thinking he would eventually end up at Cal, but he seems set on checking out the entire country.

OU seems to be losing a lot of transfers. We got a former 4-star RB from there a few weeks ago and I have heard there are more kids ready to jump ship too. He's got some baby momma problems. There were reports of him not even going to enroll at OU back in August. I'm still trying to figure out what all the problems are. Guessing its around Stoops eating bags of dicks, and bringing back lil bro.
