Isn't it more like the NBA and WNBA? Softball and baseball are quite different. That works too.

First did you watch any matches outside of the final today? Second your basing your judgement on watching women? It's the same as watching softball and saying changes MLB needs to make based on that.

that was the unluckiest match that i've ever seen. especially the last 10 minutes, the us girls were just walking around while brazil was bombarding the keeper. i'm not saying that they didn't try, they did for most of the game, but they got extremely lucky. they were outplayed in every facet, they weren't as skilled and they obviously weren't as fit. God must be pissed at the brazilians for only having first names or something. the first 90 min. is the reason soccer won't take off in the US. the last ten minutes was great and is exactly any coach would have played the game with the existing rules. They need to get rid of the off sides whisle to make it a bit more interesting. anyways...

Doubt it, the number of countries that have soccer programs vs softball is way to big.

One of the biggest problems is that there is virtually no press, and no real pressure applied by anyone. Congrats to the US Women, losing by far their best player. Great goal today to win it in extra time.

That really has nothing to do with it. I think he finally adjusted to his loss of velocity and now is back on track. I agree. I think it doesn't matter to him if he is the '#1' or the '#5' He just goes out there to get a W for his team. I highly doubt anyone went up to him after the Harden trade and saidyou are now officially #4.

I am sure they are saying that it was a great win in a country that we don't win in. Eddie Lewis got hammered, that guy should get an extra couple of games on top of the red card. I am hoping Donovan took a piss on their field too. The entire team looked like crap. They are lucky to get a win. Maybe a draw against Cuba at home will be a wake up call.
