Yeah, been wanting to check out the hotel and see whats going on, but work has been beyond busy lately.

If can get past the stupidity of 2 SEC teams playing for the title, I don't see how Oklahoma State - Stanford isn't exciting. Oregon - Wisky should be decent too. The Orange Bowl sucks every year because it's the crappy Big East champion playing the slightly less crapy ACC champion. From an outsiders perspective I could totally see Michigan vs. Virginia Tech being completely unappealing. Overall I feel like its below average but not horrible. If Bama wins can we please have a split MNC with the winner of OSU/Stanford.

Collective insanity hits the Netherlands whenever they play Germany. Go to Museum Square to watch the game on the big screens. Yep. Already told my fiancé that's where we will be. :-).

If there was ever a year for Texas to do this, its this year. Crist could come in right away and start, Ash could spend a year developing and even play some. Conner Brewer could redshirt as he should and Case McCoy could transfer to Noodle Arm University. With solid play at QB Texas is a BCS team next year. This is the 1st year Brown has ever offered a Juco so it could happen but unlikely.

On the bright side being in Amsterdam when they play Germany will be badass. Losing to them won't be.

Spain-Germany-Portugal-France would be amazing. I have a feeling that somehow Germany is going to find themselves in Poland's group, mysteriously. I'm hoping Holland can draw Russia, Greece, and Denmark. Its too bad England and Germany are in the same pot, I love seeing them match up at this stage.

Does A&M have money for a big name coach between the Big 12 buyout and Sherman's buyout? I think Smart would be a great choice and cost effictive but he could end up like Muschamp too. Who do you consider "big name" at this point? We wouldn't have paid the nearly $5MM/year for a guy like Urban (not that I think he was ever a possibility) even without the Big 12 & Sherman buyouts. I expect us to hire Sumlin and pay him $2MM/year or close to it. Looks like UCLA will be turning to Sumlin too now that Peterson has withdrawn himself from UCLA.

I think most head coaches these days are more CEO types, but it seems like Texas has still been able to get assistants. They got Harsin from Boise, and replaced Muschamp with Diaz, who is also really well regarded. I think the biggest problem for UT has been horrific QB play. This. They haven't successfully recruited a good QB since Colt. I think Ash still has a chance, but they have Conner Brewer coming in who Harsin has been recruiting for 3 years. Oh and the OL has been [expletive] for two years too. Manny Diaz is the truth though. I might like him more than Muschamp given 1 more year. Oh and Mack is also just a CEO, still a closer when it comes to recruiting though.

Believe it or not, there have been rumors at UNC that Brown has been calling Carolina telling them that his job is in jeopardy and asking about the vacancy Interesting. I don't really think his job is in jeopardy but the board members are not the most patient of people. They might not be happy that Meyer took the OSU job when he was someone they wanted to replace Brown with and don't want the same thing to happen with Peterson.

Rumors now that Mack Brown is going to retire after the season or Baylor game. Doubting it until it actually happens, but if so Chris Peterson will be the 1st call.

It was a weak call but the way the rule reads it was the right call. Don't lead with your crown and don't hit someone in the face or head with it.

Is Cade McNown some sort of respected alum? Maybe they just sent out an email to all alums and he was the first one to reply, since he wasn't busy with anything. He might be their last QB with a winning record.

It was also on the same day their women's coach was killed in a plane crash. Not making excuses for them but they had to be a little distracted given the history. If they take care of OU easily then it makes up for it for me.

Well he's white so he can't be as lazy as Aramis. Really I have no idea why he would be appealing to anyone.
