  1. Yeah, Tom Ford's a great designer... How's it going, Uncle Gus?
  2. Has anyone seen Woody Allen's latest, Match Point? It's quite good. And Scarlett J is really easy on the eyes.
  3. It's Abram, Lester Abram. It appears Kevin Grady's younger brother will commit to Mich. tomorrow, joining top 10 '07 wing Alex Legion.
  4. UM basketball is up-regulating! video from the festivities... http://www.stevesword.com/video/pong.html Mr. Mister, lol, broken wings is a fine song... :!:
  5. Because he's an awesome kid.
  6. For the love of my sanity, How the hell is prior a "considerable health risk"? Why don't you come over to my house, I'll take a bat, swing as hard as I can, and hit you right on the elbow, and then i'll question you're toughness as you cry like a girl. Take it easy, chief. You're right it was a little over the top, but I wasn't calling him a girl. Merely questioning his toughness if I nailed him square on the elbow with a baseball bat. (Like when prior got nailed on his elbow by the combacker) I can't stand people who call prior injury prone. He's got bad-luck, but he's not injury prone. The Deeg's elbow would shatter the bat into thousands of pieces, but that's neither here nor there. Calling Prior an injury risk isn't exactly baseless. He has had achilles issues and upper limb injuries that had nothing to do with line drives or basepath collisions.

  8. That's cuz I gave him a private ass chewin'. :D When will you come around to giving goony one? :D
  9. Probably right. I wonder how much it'd have taken. 42-43 over 3? That's steep.
  10. signing giles would be admitting that there's something to the statistic of on-base percentage. hendry will never do that, he hates OBP, and will go out of his way to avoid players who have it. Who wouldn't want Giles? But I think its unfair to criticize Hendry for not signing Giles. Giles had no intentions of leaving the West Coast. He turned down bigger money elsewhere to stay in SD. according to who? Giles was offered $34.5 MM/3 years from Los Angeles, but turned it down to stay in San Diego.
  11. Thanks for the pictures, sir. She's exceptionally cute. I especially like the photo of her in the duck jumper sitting on the big red sofa; adorable stuff! I see a lot of socks, too.
  12. I really like that name. I hope she grows up to be tall like Dad. I don't know what the plan is either, I didn't think it was possible to nickel and dime $100 MM away.
  13. It is from the pleasure and pain bootleg, tough to find. But the song is around, heh.
  14. Have you heard Ben Harper's version of Sweet Home Chicago?
  15. This is what NCCubfan has written:
  16. Out of curiousity, why didn't you say something to the guy who wrote this: Enjoy the holidays Jim, it'll be your last as GM of the Cubs. I mean if there's absolutely no certainty about what will happen next season, and since that's explicity stating that Hendry's gone, why didn't you confront that guy?
  17. Obviously criticism directed towards an organization that failed to reach expectations is warranted. But it's pretty clear A LOT of the posters go well beyond the limits of fair criticism.
  18. I didn't say I was surprised by it. I'm disappointed that this is the case, but it comes as no surprise. Foreign opinions are rarely accepted graciously, that's why the board is so heavily inundated with these types of posters. I'm beginning to sound like spitz or caryatid, I know. But I try to leave it to the Insiders board or Roadkill.
  19. After reading several threads, I'm not sure what sets JeffH apart; the as*holes who do nothing but rip the org are bigger pricks than he is. Unfortunately it seems NSBB is being run over by dem types. If premium is different, it may be time to make the switch.
  20. Which thread?
  21. I think Cedeno and Hairston, Jr. will comprise the middle infield. I'd have sold the house for Dunn.
  22. Pierre was dinged up quite a bit last year too, I think he'll be a good fit leading off. It's a shame they're bent on giving Walker up, but if it nets Bradley, so be it.
  23. You mean they aren't bellhopping at the Dallas Wyndham Hotel eavesdropping on conversations between baseball personnel?
  24. Pinto sort of stings, I always liked that dude. Glad to keep Guzman, Hill, Marshall, and Williams (for now, of course). I'd give them all up for Dunn. But apparently he's going to replace Casey. Too bad Kinzer f'ed us, Furcal-Pierre would've been really interesting.
