I was just comparing Neifi with those SS and their numbers in 2005. Of course I would take anyone of them over Neifi.

He did bat .274 better than these regular day SS. Vizquel, Uribe, Reyes, Cabrera, Greene.

NO? Neifi at SS had a .982 fielding% and a Range rating of 4.74 better than Omar Vizquel.

Not really, Neifi has alot of value as a BENCH PLAYER, plays SS, 2B, 3B with exceptional range and defense.

The Cubs have alot of depth in the pitching rotation this year. Zambrano Prior Wood Miller Maddux Rusch Hill Williams Guzman Koronka Simontacchi Which means Williams is expendable if the right deal is there. Looking at the Cubs depth chart, their infield is a little short on depth, and not versatile enough. -

Bill James has been writing about baseball and compiling reference book about baseball since 1975. He is currently the Senior Baseball Operations Advisor for the Boston Red Sox. Im not sure what his track record is, this is the first time I got this book, but he did predict the Cubs would win 80 games last year and they won 79. -
