  1. Will you please let Soriano get a chance to steal in that situation.
  2. What does BABIP have to do with MVP voting? It determines who wins the MVP. Quick, do you know what BABIP is? PS- It has nothing to do with determining who had the better season and I have no idea why it was used here. Do I need to know what BABIP means? I don't think I need to.
  3. Marquis pitching another solid game.
  4. Steve Stone is a very smart man. That and Jim Hendry is a complete idiot. Steve Stone is the reason we choked down the stretch in 2004. Just ask Dusty Baker and Kent Mercker. Nice to see that Stone is still in Chicago while those two are (pretty much) out of baseball completely. I wish Stone was still in the booth along with Chip.

  6. When is this offense going to wake up?
  7. Why not Griffey to the Cubs. I don't know what his the length of contract looks like, but we certainly have enough relievers to send the Reds a few more. I actually like that idea. Griffey would be a huge impact bat at the deadline. Cubs desperately need power from the left side in their lineup and Griffey would be that guy. The risk of him being injured is pretty high, but that should be a risk Hendry should take if it is the right deal.
  8. Naw, he's just missing his spots. well, hopefully he can start hitting them soon, because he can't keep up what he's been doing the last month and win. This is going to happen when he can't spot the fastball. Guys are just sitting on the curve. Some nights you just don't have it. Hill is allowed to "just not have it" but Z is not? Maybe it's just me. but you seemed to be very eager to jump all over Z, but you're pretty defensive of Hill. How many quality starts has Hill had? What's their respective ERAs? Z is supposed to be our ace. He gets held to a lot higher standard. Z hasn't "had it" for 7 of his 10 starts. Z needs to figure it out.
  9. Makes no sense. I don't think that was where he meant to throw it. He probably wanted it a little further below the belt. Really?
  10. I would rather see Hendry trade Murton for a SP than a bullpen arm. I could see Hendry trading Murton for a guy like Kiko Calero. Instead of doing that, why not try and grab Joe Blanton from the A's instead. It would obviously take more than Matt Murton to get that deal done, but it would be a good starting point in trying to get Joe Blanton.
  11. how about 15 more RBI than the closest guy on the list, and he's played a large part in the Brewers' hot start RBIs? I thought we were better than that. Jones' production blows Hardy away right now and their two teams are a game apart W-L wise It does?
  12. I didn't vote for other, but it should probably be Beltran, the best player on the best team in the league, playing a premium position and contributing a fantastic all around game. And Hardy is not playing a premium position and contributing a fantastic all around game? I said no such thing, your post was pointless and ridiculous. I simply listed a name that I thought should be considered under any "other" category. I was just pointing out that Hardy is playing a more demanding position and that he has also contributed in every aspect of the game.
  13. I didn't vote for other, but it should probably be Beltran, the best player on the best team in the league, playing a premium position and contributing a fantastic all around game. And Hardy is not playing a premium position and contributing a fantastic all around game? If anything, the SS position is the more demanding position on the field. Hardy is playing way better than anyone has expected including myself. I thought he would be a .300 hitter who would hit 15-20HR and play better than average defense. Sooner or later his hot streak will come to an end then we will see what he really is made of.
  14. J.J. Hardy
  15. No he didn't, Masset did. That also says it all. Masset is going to be a good pitcher.
  16. Welcome to the board, bro! thanks, u like my terrible swing from the picture in my signature? That game they had a photographer taking pictures from the on deck circle and I hit a homer, that was the swing, kinda sad haha you're not gonna impress anyone with that swing, but if it got you a homer, way to go! :D and last thing before i drop this, to make it even better it was a go ahead and eventually game winning homer in the playoff's semi-finals against the state champs. Im clutch, the year before i hit a bottom of the 7th inning Grand Slam in the playoffs to win, i got witnesses, ask at school What school do you go to?
