  1. Lou had a fight with Rob Dibble when he was with the Reds.
  2. Zambrano looked like complete garbage today. Anyone else notice how he was grimacing in pain after he made his last pitch? He is not extending out like he is normally doing either.
  3. Benitez is garbage. I hope Hendry is smarter than that.
  4. They're just trying to keep their ratings up. Anytime they stop saying that would be fine with me. I hate Len and Bob.
  5. The Cardinals will find a way to win the divison.
  6. Barrett has just been bad this year. He could not get a bunt down in the 8th with a runner on 2b with no outs, he made his routine mental mistake behind the plate today in the 11th, and he did nothing at the plate today.
  7. Barrett needs to figure it out. That is just bad.
  8. Lackey improves to 8-3 on the year.
  9. LAA is not in need for another SP. They already go 7 deep in Lackey, Colon, Santana, Escobar, Weaver, Saunders, and Moseley. They are more interested in trading for an impact bat than another SP. Maybe if they deal one of their talented SP then you could consider them taking Zambrano. Anaheim needs something to put them over the top in the AL. Moseley and Saunders aren't anything special, especially as starters. Colon and Weaver have battled inconsistency and injuries, and Santana has been awful this year. They've been linked to Zambrano before(when their pitching was actually better than it is now with Weaver and Santana's success last year), and if they have a chance to add a pitcher of his caliber plus some cheap outfield help I don't think they'd be disinterested. And that would be an impact bat like Tejeda, Helton, and possibly Giambi. I have to ask you if you seen Moseley pitch at all. He may not light up the radar gun but that is not what kind of pitcher he is. He has tremendous movement on his pitches and has shown the ability to dominate opposing batters this season with pretty good command of the strike zone. They really don't need Murton either. With Rivera coming back and with the way Reggie Willits has been playing they wouldnt have a need for Murton this season.

  11. Lou is complete garbage in managing a bullpen.
  12. I really dont see how it would be a silly suggestion. The deal itself is silly, but having a chance to add a guy like Cordero who is still pretty young would be something to consider.
  13. I think it is worth mentioning that Ryan has a 0.97 WHIP, 2.65/1 k/bb, 8.86 k/9 and .176 BAA after tonight to go with his 91% save percentage. Solid numbers.
  14. Mark, If you want to put a little extra on the ball such as in situations where you might be ahead in the count or when you want to go up in the zone, how do you approach it and is there anything you do mechanically to get that little extra velocity? What are you thinking when you are walking to the mound and picking up the ball ready to start your warm-ups? Do you have a particular way of working hitters or a specific philosophy of pitching to hitters that works for you? Also, how valuable would you say it is to have a plan or a regular routine in-season and off-season? Good luck on the rest of your season and stay consistent.
  15. Donnie, In talking about evaluating hitters, obviously you go over scouting reports, but does that change your approach in terms of how you use your strengths as a pitcher? Tell us how you rate velocity, movement and command? Also, how important is pitching inside for you? Good luck on the rest of your season and stay consistent.
  16. Sean, Whether it's getting ready to pitch for your game or doing your off-season conditioning or ever studying, for that matter, having a regular routine is critical for being successful in any one of those tasks. A good routine usually means good results. My question to you is what is your routine that you stick to in order to get ready for you next start? Also, what kind of exercises do you do in the off-season?
  17. What does BABIP have to do with MVP voting? It determines who wins the MVP. Quick, do you know what BABIP is? PS- It has nothing to do with determining who had the better season and I have no idea why it was used here. Do I need to know what BABIP means? I don't think I need to. I know, the big numbers must frighten you. You seem to be more comfortable with numbers like 13 and 9. (think about it) I guess that makes sense.
