  1. Watching the Twins - Blue Jays game. Twins up 4-1. Can't wait for the Cubs to start so I can watch a game I truly care about.
  2. I guess the day game Aram comment had a purpose.
  3. CUBS win the division with an 82-80 record !!! Go CUBS !! 80-82. We have to play a whole lot better to get above and stay above .500 CUBS have only been outscored in the 7th inning (37-36) and the 10th inning (3-1). Go CUBS !!! A 3:00 start= more time for Fred to throw out crazy stats.
  4. Explanation please? I must have missed something here. Will Ohman did the line-ups on Fox and called him that.
  5. Why put in the AAA lineup in game 2 of the series.
  6. Great now they will find a new way today B. Z will probably be throwing a no hitter. Then with 2 outs in the 9th he will give up a walk then the defense will make 3 errors on one play with two outs in the 9th and allow the dodgers to win 2-1.
  7. It's still a pretty large difference. Last year the Cubs has 2842 at-bats during day games. The next highest total from anyone in the majors was Oakland and San Francisco tied at 2086 at-bats. That's still a massive disparity. As far as the day games cause more trouble for the Cubs than the others, I have no idea what to think about that. If there is an effect, than it is worse for the Cubs (even though both teams have to play in the same conditions, for the Cubs it is the cumulative effect throughout the season that builds up). I'm not sure I believe that there is any effect at all to build up though. I didn't realize there was that much of a difference. That being said I never thought playing day base ball made that much of difference anyways.
  8. These complaints really hold no water anymore. With Wrigley holding more and more night games the difference between the Cubs day games and other teams isn't a lot. There is still more day games but not enough to really make a difference.
  9. It's a new day and time for the Cubs to throttle the Dodgers.
  10. In that situation stealing 3rd wasn't a bad idea. Getting caught was. At the time I thought a balk could have been called. If he doesn't get picked maybe the other players don't pick him up.
  11. Carter is an example of what one swing at the appropriate time will do for peoples opinions of you.
  12. How did we get back into this game.
