This is beyond dumb. Coaches/instructors have recognized it and tried to work on it with catchers for years and years before it was ever a thing among advanced metric people. I know I was a catcher. You work hard on setting up, making a good target and having a quiet body. but whether a strike gets called is beyond your control. You were a catcher but never did framing drills? Your coach sucked. Did he also take some of his buddies out to slide into first with a stopwatch?
Velocity wasn't quite back, but still plenty good. His problem was location and command, which wasn't surprising coming off of TJS. I think it's a pretty good signing for you guys.
My niece is a better passer than him and she's not even 2. He is by no means a good QB but he had no business being out there. He could barely even pick himself off the turf, and this after plays where he was barely grazed by the rush. I'll bet he has a ruptured kidney. I'll bet he does not.
So as of now the QB competition in STL is between Sean Hill, Garrett Gilbert and Austin Davis. They have to go get somebody, right? Cousins, Mallett, Moore? Sanchez? Mallett would seem like a good idea.
Mainly missing Allen Craig, who's completely forgotten how to hit a baseball. Going from .306 .358 .492 .850 over 1420 career PA to .238 .292 .347 .639 at age 29 is unreal.
