  1. Thames got rung up on a pitch about a foot outside. He snapped and got tossed. Meh, it was borderline. But he really flipped out.
  2. Thames skillet gloves a ball. 2nd and 3rd nobody out. Ankiel sac fly. 3-2 runner on 3rd 1 out.
  3. There needs to be an investigation. Yeah, that .302 average and .816 ops Schumaker has accrued are just beyond comprehension given his .298 career average and .774 career ops. And 6 homers in 258 at-bats? Crazy. And Ankiel, he's hitting .254 with as many homers in 80 games as he hit in 30 last year. Clearly something is amiss. the HGH deliveries must have gotten mixed up Zing! You should join the Upright Citizens Brigade.
  4. 2-1 after a Sheffield double and a Kennedy error.

Easy buddy, remember that this is a Cubs forum. Try to get your feet wet before you start in with the condescension.
  6. 5-2 on a bases loaded single by Schumaker.
  7. 3-2 STL on a Molina double and Kennedy single.
  8. 2-2 on a HR by Brian Barton
  9. 2-1 Detroit on a blown HR call. Instant replay cannot get here soon enough.
  10. Awesome! Maybe it will inspire him and and he can write a song about it for his next album.
  11. Ugh STL - 1 DET - 1 Pudge hits a solo homer.
  12. I don't know how they're sucking so bad. They were +40 RS/RA heading into tonights game. I guess the back end of that bullpen is really that bad.
  13. I think that's currently got to be Detroit. Not for long. Cardinals are going to sweep them. I hope so, but I'll be happy with 2 of 3.
  14. You mean the guy that is a few credits from completing his major in aerospace engineering and interned at Boeing? I goofed and really meant "lookalike". Actually, he looks more like "Crabman."

  17. Cardinals lineup tonight... Izturis ss Schumaker LF Ludwick RF Ankiel CF Glaus 3b Duncan 1b Molina C Kennedy (DH) Miles 2b I think I'm going to throw up now.
  18. people who yell "get in the hole!!!" when a guy is teeing off on a par 4 or par 5 should be immediately ejected from the course, or at least subject to a cattle prod. I went to the PGA Championship last year and it was shocking to hear how many there were. I tried to blame it on the 100+ plus degree heat, but those guys guys were just buffoons. It's also weird to see a few thousand people follow Phil and Tiger, yet some other Pros can actually lose a ball in high grass because there is nobody there to watch.
  19. No problem, your hands are obviously full with the Phillies.
  20. I know. It's not like they've lost their Ace, starting catcher and the best hitter in baseball all in the span of a week. Super Lucky! Yet they're still winning. That's the point. Today was another game that they had absolutely no business winning and had it handed to them. "Here, have a win" If the Phillies had won would you have said the same thing? No? Why would I? Look at how many baserunners each team had. I guess you could also look at errors and extra base hits. Phillies- 21 baserunners Cardinals- 10 baserunners It's okay to admit that the Cardinals stole a game. It's ok to admit that the amount of baserunners isn't the only thing that matters. The Phillies played sloppy and the Cards hit homeruns.
