  1. I'd appreciate it if you didnt swear at me like that...... Has anyone heard if he really likes Chicago? I just have this wierd feeling he's gone. Sorry about the cussing. I think he likes Chicago. He probably liked it more when Alou & Sosa were here and when people weren't griping about him as much in the papers and on the radio. Rozner rips him a new one every time I hear him. But I'm sure he's hearing that he can make scads of money in free agency. And I'm sure that other cities might be attractive as well. I don't see how Hendry can possibly replace what would be lost if Aramis walks, given all the other holes. But that's part of the problem ... even with Aramis, I don't have much faith in the Cubs putting together a winning team next year, even in a bad NL. So why should Aramis hang around hoping that the organization can get its act together? He's in his prime and he won't get a better chance to make big bucks like this again now that steroids are illegal so ya, I see him leaving and getting a chance to win. Unfortunately I agree. Likely the reason why his agent built the ipt-out into his contract to begin with. I'd rather see him stay but I'm afraid of the $$$ he'll command. If signing him comes at the cost of signing Schimdt or Zito, I'd pass.
  2. 3 run ARAM-A-ABOMB with Pierre and Barrett on board. Z was wild. How did Barrett get on? It's not showing that he hit or walked, and the Brewers don't have any errors. Did Z just spaz out? I saw how pissed he was after Barrett screwed up that strikeout. Barrett HBP (No Bush wasn't ejected) after Pierre had an infield single. Seems like Z just kind of lost it after Barrett dropped the third strike.

  4. heh heh heh I love this time of year (only wish my Cubbies were a little more "involved")
  5. He has been benched until next season per MLB rules on mascots. No, I am not kidding. please elaborate.... It's something about the notice that MLB requires before introducing a new mascot. Apparently you can't add a mascot just on a whim, so they supposedly sent him down to the minors for some work (at least that was the Brewers explanation on it), and they will bring him back at the start of next season. Call me crazy...but I've been thinking that the Cubs should start to embrace the whole curse and everything....and adopt a Goat as a mascot. Seriously, who wouldn't laugh at a goat walking around on the top of the dugout inciting the wave? Shut up BeerHere?
  6. Off Topic: Joe Satriani - Surfing the Alien --> fantastic old school cd
  7. But that happens. You have to be a teammate and pick them up when they make a mistake and try not to let it be a bigger one. I agree, but it did change his performance. That and it seems the pitchers have to pick up Barrett quite a bit. Barrett's offense this season makes up for his defensive short-comings IMO. He's learning three new pitchers and trying to deal with an emotional big Z. The dropped third strike happens to the best of em.
  8. Yeah, it would be 4-0 instead of 6-0. Zambrano really didn't have anything today, and neither did the rest of the team, apparently. But he was cruzing and then that happened and he lost it. He was throwing a fit on the mound after it happened. Sorry.....what happened?
  9. Is the zone small or is Z just missing? <---not watching
  10. Post of the year!!!!!!!!!!!! LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done.
  11. Marmol needs control. Too small of a sample for Hill. I'll go with Marshall.
  12. Bold Prediction: Cubs finish with the worst record in the NL this year. Edited: And make their first pick in the '07 draft a high-school pitcher with a 95-mph fastball and poor control, so we can watch him flame out in A ball.
  13. Watch....Dusty will bat him second, right behind Pierre.
  14. Soriano plays for the Cubs? ?? Where did I say that? Merely pointing out that all of the Soriano talk was just that. Supposedly the WSox had him and it was "almost complete". I guess there could be waiver deals.... My point about 2/9ths of the team stands.
