  1. Amazing. There is no way a team should get grand slams in 3 straight games. Either the white sox are incredibly lucky, or god really loves them
  2. That ball shouldn't have been dropped to begin with. ya think? he still didn't need to cut it. don't know if it would have got him or not, but there was no need to cut it. He tried to throw out the runner going to second base but his throw was offline. I'm not going to get more upset with Perez when a routine play was botched to start the trouble. I don't fault Perez on this play...Murton is a Major League LF'er making a routine play. My dog could've played that clean. Your dog is also probably smarter than Perez and has a stronger arm than pierre.
  3. Screw you Bob Brenly. Blame it all on Murton. Don't even comment on Juan Pierre being a worthless CFer who has one of the weakest OF arms ever.
  4. What do you expect when he has this coaching staff. Their advice has never made a young player that has been brought up better so far. It always has the same effect - make them much, much worse.
  5. Hmm...where to start. Why send Murton down? if the hitting coach at AAA is better than the one in the MLB, then fire the MLB one. If the organization doesn't do this, then that just shows how poorly run the cubs are right now. I don't see what Carlos Lee and Soriano have to do with this. Neither are available right now. There is no reason to not let Murton develop and see if he can become a productive LFer with a very good OBP and decent power.
  6. And Ozzie just keeps talking. It gets tiring hearing him pretend he is some tough guy from the streets. The guy is rich, rich, rich. And got it the easy way. Gimme a break. Hope the sox collapse just to see him totally fall apart.
  7. Probably not a good sign when you are issued a suspension and there is confusion about what it was for.
  8. What a pathetic excuse for a human being.
  9. As would I. I dont know exactly what hte foul was, but mavericks were all over him... And whoever just tried to call that timeout is an idiot. Nobody was "all over him." In fact, he wasn't even touched in any way that would result in a foul call. Who cares. Wade isn't the first and won't be the last player to get calls in the NBA. It is not like Dirk hasn't gotten calls. Hell, Lebron had the most obvious travel go uncalled for a game winning shot earlier this year The Mavs were still robbed. I think that is an awful justification. It is a perfectly fine justification. Terry or Dirk would have gotten the same call. It isn't like Wade is the only one getting the calls.

  11. He looked handsome, as usual
  12. Dwayne Wade is quite good.
  13. Mabry in LF? Screw you dusty, die
  14. Italians sure play very sportsmanlike
  15. No, Buerhle didn't say that because he hates the rangers. It is just because he extremely stupid.
  16. I'm with you. The kid doesn't deserve that kind of treatment. Save the snark for the truly deserving targets. You have to expect that on this board. As soon as someone has a bad start or a bad AB, they are automatically horribly. Then if they do something good they are good.
  17. Here is a nice quote from an article about Albert and Mihlfeld "Consequently, a frustrated Albert Pujols -- after spending a year at Kansas City's Maple Woods Community College, where he met strength and conditioning guru Chris Mihlfeld and started the process of building an Adonis-like upper body-- waited 13 rounds before getting the call from the Cardinals." http://www.810whb.com/scripts/archives/getstory.asp?article=12344&string=noSearch I think its just naive that we all trash the last decades premier power hitteres and their records, but then hail the new guys who could break those records too.
  18. I have found it funny that no one thinks Pujols is cheating. This year he was on pace to hit what 70+ HRs? He has gained considerable size since he entered the league. Sosa/Big Mac/Bonds are all assumed guilty though the evidence isn't that concrete (except in Bonds' case) basically b/c they put up unrealistic numbers. But for some reason if Pujols had not been injured and had put up unreal numbers this year, the guy would of been assumed innocent. It just doesn't make sense. People assume Pujols is innocent because most people don't know anything about him. It took a while for people to find stuff about Sammy, I'm guessing it will be the same with Pujols.
  19. how does alex cintron hit a 3 run bomb? w sox have some kinda luck
  20. Thanks for the giggles...you failed to mention defense here which is where Grudzielanek has it ALL over Todd Walker. OPS alone is not the way to judge a player. You must look at the COMPLETE player...but I know how you stat geeks are. Oh and it helps that Grudz knows how to keep his yapper shut and play the game hard. Character guy... What a huge loss for the Cubs when they lost Grudz. grudz is good defensively? good one. and since when is todd walker not a character guy? you have been listening to too much sports radio
  21. Except there is a difference between sports. In baseball unlike football, they throw an object 90+ MPH at you. There has to be a level of trust between the pitcher and batter. This kind of behavior does not engender itself towards fostering that relationship. The media just didnt spell it out like that. Sure they can hit you in football, but it wont kill you (paralyze maybe). Baseball is a whole different can of worms. Many many people have died playing over the years. I'd much rather have a pitcher throw at me than have a lienbacker come after me.
  22. OH well. He was bound to give up a hit since the strike zone was non existent the last two innings.
  23. Berkman got 5 strikes there and still got K'ed. haha
