  1. Moreover, because the Rams have a 3:00pm game, apparently league rules dictate that instead of an early game FOX must show The Banger Sisters. I need to move home.
  2. I don't really have a problem with Lou winning it, though the Cubs were expected to win their division. The Cubs were dominant in the regular season. *sigh*
  3. Yes, please. And add in signing Furcal, too. Sounds great. Does D-Lee have a NTC? EDIT: According to this site he does. Question is whether he wants to stay. http://mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/2005/01/chicago-cubs_112114177768677294.html
  4. It should be a GREAT game. Not a blowout fashion great game as we've been accustomed too over the last 3. But by good, I mean close and to the last few minutes good. I just hope to God the Bruins don't get the lead early and make me watch their bogus boring trap defense all game, that is so obnoxious and negative fun to watch. Hawks win 3-2. Well, I'm glad I waited to pull the trigger on the ticket. Trip cancelled again, so I'll be watching at home. At least it'll be in sparkling HD. :D
  5. Wow. Had not seen that. Very bad. It's not like Vanryn (sp?) had just turned to face the boards.
  6. I'm going tonight. I think. The last time I tried to schedule in a game around my work travel, it was NLDS Game 1. And my work trip got cancelled and I had to sell the ticket. Really, really hope that doesn't happen again. Boston is a good team. I hope the Hawks are flying again tonight like they were on Sunday.
  7. I'm sure Directv will have the channel, probably right at launch. So I'm a happy camper. But I think before last season with all the hubbub about an exclusive EI deal the cable companies promised to carry the MLB Channel in exchange for getting to air EI. If that's the case, it will be pretty wide exposure for a new channel.
  8. Same here. The guy made some absolutely terrible throws, and a bunch of them happened to be on third down. So when he's moping off the field, again, it's not surprising the fans will give him the business.
  9. Start Forte. Always. Start Jennings and Edwards. And I know how you feel, one league my 1st two WRs drafted were Colston and Jennings. Jennings had a great start. Colston was great this week, for my bench. Thank God for me! (Desean Jackson) I'm playing the guy who has Colston this week. So I'll be fine with him sucking for a week. Hopefully B-Quinn will remember he has a stud receiver. I know he drops passes, but he wasn't even getting looks last Thurs against Denver.
  10. I'm 5-5 in an 8-team league where four make the playoffs. I'm in 4th, one game up on two teams. But I'm also way ahead of them in points, so I'm basically two games up. Four weeks to go until the playoffs. I play the 3rd place team, then the three below me. I'm feeling pretty good about my chances. But I need either Burress or Edwards to stop screwing around and catch some TDs.
  11. The weak link on my team has definitely become the WRs. With Edwards, Burress and Jennings, I never thought that would be the case. Burress gets BAL at home. Jennings gets CHI at home. Edwards is at BUF on Monday night. I can play two. I think Jennings is an obvious play against Vasher/Tillman. I'm leaning toward Edwards, but I have Manning too, so my inclination is to always play Burress as well and hope I hit the jackpot. As for RBs, I start Forte and A-Pete regularly. I also have Mewelde Moore (vs. SD), Green-Ellis (vs. NJ), Ray Rice (@ NYG) and LJ (vs. NO). Obviously A-Pete starts always. Any reason to start any of these other guys over Forte this week?
  12. They have to. I mean, it's really the worst of everything at this point. You can't blitz because your secondary sucks, and your secondary sucks because you can't blitz. Ugh. I think Grossman will play better, but I also think Jennings and Driver will go insane. Pack by 3.
  13. It's stupid, but I'm enjoying hearing it over and over again.
  14. They are just [expletive] good @ home. Foley said last night that the Hawks haven't lost a game since March of last year at home (in regulation). Too lazy to look it up but was the final game against the Wings at home or on the road? 4-2 loss vs. Calgary on March 16 was the last regulation loss for the Hawks at home. Now, I haven't been to the UC for a game in almost seven years now, so I'm sure others can answer this better than me. Is it a raucous type crowd when the place is full? Because we know all of this season's home games have been sold out so far, and most at the end of last season were as well. I just wonder if it's the type of atmosphere and really gets the players going. I know the building is huge. Just don't remember how loud it gets. I haven't been to a game this year, but last year even when the Hawks were bad and it definitely wasn't a sellout, it was loud as hell. Can't even imagine how loud it gets this year, I'm going on December 26th though. I will be up there for about a week around xmas and tried to get tickets for that game. It was sold out. And then my folks scheduled a family gathering, so I'm screwed anyway. Will have it on the TV though. :)

  16. I hope the Hawks have enjoyed all this time off because starting Wednesday they have 6 in 11 days, including the start of the annual circus trip. The trip doesn't seem that bad this year, but it does go to Phoenix, then Dallas, then back to Toronto, then all the way back to the west coast for games at San Jose, Anaheim and Los Angeles. The eight-game trip at the end of January and start of February is much worse. Not to look too far ahead, but I love the Hawks banking all these points now before they hit the road. Hopefully they can keep it up through these next few home games.
  17. Brouwer! This is a beating.
  18. Yeah, in boxing parlance, Walker was busier. So he won that one. Entertaining game.
  19. Wow, Zebra got blasted with that one. Yikes.
  20. I bet as much as me, you can't wait til Aliu gets his 10 game stint ;) Yep.
  21. i think the Hawks are just playing a physical game period, i don't know what you really can expect after that. they've clearly controlled the game in every aspect tonight, and have thrown some punishing hits to go with it. Right there was a perfect example. Sarich nailed Sharp, arm goes up, whistle blows. Havlat strolls around like nothing happened. Brouwer finally came in to give him the business, but it was half-hearted. But hey, I know I'm nit-picking.
  22. Mikka is just overwhelmed tonight. These guys look fantastic. One thing though. Toews and Kane seem to be getting roughed up a bit around the net after whistles and I don't see much in the way of help or retribution from the big guys. I'd like to see a bit more of that.
  23. The only question I have is whether I should start Edwards tonight or Burress. I'm tired of Burress, but I'm concerned that Quinn is gonna suck.
  24. Oh man I didn't even notice it. Will do. Sorry about that.
  25. new jersey has no cap room at all. Got it. Thanks. I don't know what's up with these five days off. How ever the Hawks play Sunday, people will either say they were rested or rusty. I just want to watch some hockey!
