Yeah, looking back on it, of course I'm glad it went down the way it did because it was so exciting. But there sure were a lot of long faces until Kane's goal. And I sort of agree about the Hawks W flags, though I'll take the enthusiasm for the team in whatever form it comes in. I just remember, especially last season, a lot of curmudgeon STHs on the Blackhawks board whining because of all the new fans and games actually selling out. I think they were pissed off because they didn't have entire rows to themselves. Talk about not seeing the forest through the trees. Of course, those are the same people who defended Wirtz's no home TV rule because they thought they were so [expletive] special.
