You never know with Bickell, he may flip the switch and run wild. I'm fine with keeping him in the lineup especially since there isn't a viable alternative. Very good news that TVR might get in. Couldn't swing going to the game tonight, in fact will miss most of it while on a plane without wifi. Wistfully recalling when SWA promised wifi on all planes by the end of 2013... But not nervous for this one. Just win one of two there.

You may not be able to wear a Hawks sweater at the game depending on where you sit. Seems like the 'ning are one upping Nasville's idiotic "Kepp the red out" by not only not sell tickets but threatening to move people to different seats if they are wearing visitor's gear. It's just the "Chase Club" and "Lexus Lounge" seating though. Pretty sure most of the stadium you're ok. Right. Whatever those sections are, they sound like more expensive than I'll be willing to pay.

Been listening to NHL Radio this morning, they keep playing Lightning radio highlights. Dave Mishkin is an abomination. Whatever he is doing, it's not broadcasting. It's not charming. It's not endearing. It's just ear-splitting, ridiculous yelling.

So, work is taking me to Florida this week. Naples, which although not terribly close to Tampa is close enough to maybe get over there for Game 1. I'll pack my sweater just in case.

LeBrun talked to five NHL coaches last night, without identifying them of course. All praised Tampa but those that gave a prediction said the Hawks would win in 6 or 7. One said 5 I think. Oh no way you can take Tampa lightly. They are earning their stripes and might be ready. I don't think they are but I wouldn't bet too heavily against them.

That's cool, would be nice to win the Cup in a home Game 6 for once. And yes, I know, 24 hours ago we were discussing next year's roster and now we're discussing the Finals. Suck it.

Oh yeah, that "what about it?" was gold. Pierre is so used to the robot players just taking whatever he says and spitting out their cliches. Not sure I blame him. But it was funny that Toews actually listened to the "question."

7:00 central. The LA media is pretty rough on their leaders this morning, Getzlaf in particular. They just got Kesler, and by no means is their window closing like San Jose's did and LA's may have, but this is big for them. They blew 3-2 series leads the last two years. That's in their heads. The Hawks having another gear is in their heads. Even though we lost Game 5, I think the way we stormed back plays into this too. They know they are playing a team that's been through it all. And they have to prove they can beat them. That's a lot of pressure. Problem is it's just one game and like last year with the Kings, anything can happen. This should have been a Hawks win in 6, and now it's a crapshoot.
