He had/has "vertigo"/concussion, which is probably the main reason. Also, the speed game isn't his strong suit. And he was overpaid/overrated due to a great playoff stretch in 2013. He's a 3rd or 4th line player in this league, maybe 2nd on a weaker team who is being counted on to play with Kane/Richards because of his size. I doubt the vertigo issue has anything to do with his play. Some guys just get that "lost" look on the ice sometimes. They lose track of their assignments and end up running around trying to make something happen. That's him right now. Let's just hope someone is enticed by his size and past success to take that contract this summer.
