  1. He was skating off after the first crouched over.
  2. Let em fight assholes
  3. Hahaha fuckin awesome!!!
  4. They do? I haven't heard that sentiment in a while. I saw some comments, over in the Hawks thread I think, about people saying the Hawks wouldn't have been able to go on such a run if they were in the east. I know it was only one game, but I was really underwhelmed by both Toronto and Montreal, both of whom are pretty far up the standings. I think part of that is that everybody wants to have their team be the ones that end the streak, and of course, the east teams aren't going to get that opportunity. That makes sense. The insecure, lifelong midwesterner in me says it's because the focus of attention isn't on them.

  6. Sounds like Bollig is in tonight. Which is nice since he's a St. Louis kid. And suggests Q expects a rough game.
  7. He's 100% right. Watched almost the entire Toronto/Montreal game last night. I was struck by how bad Toronto played, and honestly Montreal didn't look all that much better. And people say the Eastern Conference is so much better than the West.
  8. When you're Jamarcus Webb, a different set of rules apply.
  9. http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/blog/eye-on-hockey/21773702/blue-jackets-james-wisniewski-out-extended-period-after-breaking-foot Karma's a bitch. As for the Montador/Rozsival trade options, even if Montador came back in two weeks, he's only have about two weeks, maybe 6-7 games, to show something to potential trade partners. I'm not sure we'd be able to get much for him under those circumstances. Of course you would get even less for Rozsival. I guess you just keep the depth.
  10. Yeah I think that's it. If you look at that map, they have to fly past everyone else to get to their divisional opponents. I think from a competitive standpoint, that's tough. But from a ticket selling standpoint, it's gold. Rangers, Bruins, Red Wings, Leafs, Canadiens coming in three times each? That's huge.
  11. I heard this morning that Tampa has an 11-game sellout streak going. Was surprised by that.
  12. Yeah the map makes sense when you see it like that. A point came up on the radio this morning that the biggest problem with travel is time zone changes. This seems to eliminate most of that. Who gets the shaft? Miami and Tampa. However, they are going to get a ton of home dates with marquee teams.
  13. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2013/02/26/oilers_blackhawks_offensive_struggles/ Reading this article reminded me that Edmonton was on the first of a nine game, 17 day road trip. Why? We have the circus trip. They have a curling tournament. Gotta love Canada.
  14. Maybe I was watching a different game, but he seemed to really play well yesterday...at least later in the game. He's competent most of the time with flashes of being decent. But there are times, a few behind his own net last night, where he just looks helpless and turns the puck over. That said, he's our sixth freaking defenseman. We have far and away the best top five in the league. We can stomach having an average sixth. And in the playoffs he's only going to play 4-5 minutes a game anyway.
  15. I see sleeping on this one didn't help.
  16. Just win one more on Thursday. Then it's totally fine to drop a few.
  17. Was that really Hoiberg's kid? Either way, those tears taste like another conference title.
  18. This is too [expletive] fun.
  19. Boom bitches
  20. Q has the line generator humming tonight. Saad has been with three of the four lines.
  21. So Hoss gets steamrolled from behind and no call. And then they call that [expletive]?
  22. These pups aren't even sniffing our net. Gotta bury one of these chances soon.
  23. Clearly a goal. Great job Roszival.
  24. Yeah he's a doofus. But I'll never forget that long wrister he buried in I think Game 2 against Philly.
  25. @MarianHossaSay: Unfortunates, Khabibulin is not drunk tonites.
