  1. The tampering charges can go chew on a landmine.
  2. Stadiums being in horrible locations is a cliche across sports. Florida is just terrible and doesn't give a [expletive] about sports besides stupid college football and sometimes the Dolphins.
  3. yeah really weird. you have to think if they are really still negotiating, announcing Ricky's firing really kills their leverage. Come on. You really think they're firing Renteria if they don't have Maddon locked down? That's ridiculous. No I don't think that, that's why I think its weird that the moves (firing Ricky, hiring Maddon) weren't announced at the same time. "Jesus, Tom; I was just speculatin' about a hypothesis!"
  4. I want a beanball feast.
  5. In a very short period they lost Price, Friedman, and Maddon. Not to mention their park is a [expletive] hole. Gotta be a tough time to be a Rays fan after the last few years success. Yup that stadium is terrible, the only time I've been there was when the cubs played there a few years ago haven't been back. It's like a giant Highschool gymnasium, a terrible place to watch baseball. They could draw fans but not in that dump. if their fans can't be bothered to go watch a good team because the stadium is boring, they don't deserve a good team or a good stadium Yup. Wrigley is a gigantic [expletive] hole, yet it's packed when these idiots are even remotely competitive.

  9. Basically the only way they have a tampering case is if Renteria hangs them out to dry.
  10. It's not clearly tampering at all; this likely would have been swirling around as rumors or insider knowledge, so it could easily be argued that the Cubs were being proactive and went to Renteria and simply said, "look, it sounds like Maddon is going to opt out and we want you know now that if he does we are going after him."
  11. Whatever works.

  13. That is delightful.
  14. Alright, he's my new favorite Cub.
  15. We switched sides and finally went from the 3B side to 1B. Still just two seats for now, but closer to the entrance we always come in and on the aisle, plus a better view of that sexy new video screen vs. where we were before.
  16. Hey, score one for Derwood. So not only is Gordon watching the ball between 2B and 3B, he didn't haul ass on a single as the tying run in the WS. So, yes, given that it makes sense not to send him, but they should have been able to send him had he not been running poorly.
  17. You round first hard regardless of whether that is a single or not. I haven't seen a replay focused on Gordon the whole way around, I'm just spitballing You're spitballing that he jogged around 1B on a well-struck single as the final out in the WS?
  18. Why would you possibly think that.
  19. I hate you hacks so very much.
  20. You're basically praying for Bumgarner to throw a wild pitch if you don't send him if he's bookin'. I demand to be entertained. So again I say "meh" and make rude gestures at your emotionless robot face.
  21. Meh. The Royals had no chance against Bumgarner. It was practically a miracle Gordon got the single in the first place, much less ending up on 3B. Yeah, he had basically no shot and rightly wasn't sent based on how shittily he ran, but if he had been hauling ass and looking to the coach he should have been well around 3B as opposed to where he is vs. the ball in that photo.
  22. Ugh, seriously, Gordon should feel like a jackass: http://l2.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/_HxUNLbTjDa5Iukt_q6Piw--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NQ--/http://globalfinance.zenfs.com/en_us/Finance/US_AFTP_SILICONALLEY_H_LIVE/The_Royals_Explain_Why_They-5f91125541a79f8f375853df78bd2d8f
  23. And to clarify: there's nothing in that we don't know already. Cutler turns it over more than is ideal. That is, however, hardly unique to him. You can still be a good QB and turn the ball over more than you want. It's just pointless to seemingly try and pin it as the reason why the Bears are struggling, when it's just a reason out of many as to why the team has imploded. Yeah, when your two main WR have been playing hurt and the OL has regressed/been injured and they essentially have to score on nearly every possession just to even stay in the game, he's going to press and give up critical turnovers. I have no idea why pointing out the obvious should be a "gut punch."
