If that is the case, which I am all in favor of, then why did the Cubs tender Wood? Does he have any trade value whatsoever? He has the magical ability to throw a ball at moderate speeds with his left hand; usually you can trick someone into giving you something for that.

Even after the Lester, Maddon, and Montero signings? Seems like this is the time to buy ads. For the Comcast games, sure, but right now there's no deal for a huge chunk of their games. Who are you thinking they should buy the time from?
