  1. He still has an OBP below .300 and an OPS below .670. Whatever the case though, hopefully his trade value is up there again. yes but at least he's only 20th on this list now http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2015&month=0&season1=2015&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=21,a not bad for semi-sporadic play over 2 months after 4 months of everyday play that had him much higher on the list It's not bad at all considering where he was but you have to be good over the course of an entire season. I know he's not going to be as good as he's been in September the entire year but at this point he's just making up for the terrible play up until July. Here's why the awesome thing that's happening right now isn't awesome and why the Cardinals give me a boner. He hitched his wagon to hating Castro and damned if he's going to get off now that it's toppling off of a cliff.

  3. i'm not convinced that starlin is going to do anything, be it good or bad Bad robot. Bad.
  4. No, because Brandon Webb became bad and injured. We should just sign 3 mediocrities. lol - because those are the only alternatives. How is that you expect us to build depth on old painty can Tom's budget while adding multiple pitchers better than the Jason Hammels of the world? I heard PTR will give you a couple of blintzes to paint the new triangle building.
  5. it's all relative, mannnn that's like being that guy saying "no professional athlete is bad" No, I'm being crazy optimistic.
  6. Literally every hit next month will be a big hit.
  7. Apparently Lester being on base flusters other pitchers more than runners on base fluster Jon Lester.
  8. http://engine2diet.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/entertainment-720-swagger.gif
  9. *Sigh* You're so greedy. Two 4-0 wins on either side of the losing streak and it's not good enough. I don't get you, man.
  10. Why the hell did Gameday just say there was a pinch-runner?
  11. It's been a week bro It was the three game losing streak and then winning 1-0 in 11 against the Royals, homie.
  12. Oh my God; OF COURSE it's been two [expletive] innings before that comment. CUBS FANS ARE THE WORST.
  13. Well, that's just goofy. Hammel would be incredibly useful to come in and pitch 2-3 innings.
  14. I think he was reacting to Papa Juggalo.
  15. I saw they had arrived in the mail when I got home and then this happened: http://i.giphy.com/pnLxeWYX8kzgk.gif
  16. *Hurls bat away like a javelin* *Moonwalks to 1B making NYAH-NYAH-NYAH gestures at jersey the whole way*
  17. I took it completely differently, so deal with it!
  18. And that lead me to this... http://bustedcoverage.com/2014/05/15/the-best-asian-baseball-bat-flippers-of-the-gif-era/ ...which quotes an anonymous American pitcher/dumbass who spent one year playing overseas saying this: I love how the guy crying about things like bat flips is so completely unaware when it comes to calling another player "soft." Boy, yeah, those leagues are just so soft because they don't tolerate their players acting like morons and beaning batters like they're petulant toddlers.
  19. I love that one of the replies was just this:
  20. I am a big, big fan of what is likely yet another unique lineup.
  21. Baseball was introduced to Japan in the 19th Century and they've had organized play for about 95 years. Baseball was introduced to Cuba in the 19th Century and they've had organized play for almost 140 years. Baseball was introduced to the DR at the tail end of the 19th Century and they've had organized play for over 100 years. But yeah, the game has only "opened up in the last 10-15 years." Bud Norris can go [expletive] himself.
