  1. Thank god I was a good 60+ pounds into my weight loss at that point, because between the Cubs and the horrible, horrible Election Night right afterwards, I'm about 99% sure one of those events would have killed me.
  2. I must have actually left for home after the top of the 9th, because I either didn't see the Kipnis AB or completely blacked out from thinking it was gone off the bat.
  3. Nah. All the Cubs runs were awesome, not just the two in the 10th. Fowler's homer, Bryant's baserunning x 2, Contreras' double to RF, Báez knocking Kluber out by going opposite field and David Ross homering with 2 strikes off Andrew Miller. Obviously that stuff is awesome, but I hate watching the Indians eventually match that awesomeness with a bunch of BS, even with the benefit of hindsight. And Davis' HR just bugs the hell out of me because it's this rinky-dink low shot into the corner (combined with it being off the guy who it was supposed to basically be impossible to do that of, combined with Joe's annoying bullpen usage). I totally get why people love rewatching the whole game, but it gives me a weird anxiety for something that ends so happily. I think a big part of it is because as soon as the rain delay was announced I went home and watched the ending on my own. I had such a huge knot/sense of dread about how it was going to end, I just couldn't be around other people if it ended with the Indians winning, so when it happened it just felt more like immense relief as opposed to crazy joy/celebration.
  4. I genuinely don't like re-watching Game 7 outside of the final inning; I just go back through how I felt that night, and as the Indians chipped away and tied it up I felt AWFUL. Even knowing how it ends, I hate seeing it happen again, especially since the ways the Indians scored were mostly so dumb.
  5. Hahah! Yeah, I was wondering about the guy's thought process, too. And how many people gave him side-eye or bagged him not do it. "No....the world must KNOW!"

  7. It's just Vlad Jr.'s world, and baseball is lucky to exist in it: [tweet] [/tweet] https://www.instagram.com/p/BjAtB8nhBdZO2NiyzoydRFWIoAtzCyHpE2CZIs0/
  8. Still 5 games under .500 and 5-5 over their last 10. Seems more hinged on the Rockies and (especially) the Diamondbacks playing like ass.
  9. Is this confirmed? I know there was an article last week talking about Yu only using 2-3 of his pitches. I thought it was his slider? ---- Oh yeah, just gimme that dong-y goodness instead of Yu's pu.
  10. I was just about to mention this. Just bring Gimenez up and let him catch Yu. Contreras is awful for him, because a guy with Yu's stuff and lack of command needs a framer and someone who can call a game. Yeah, I really, really don't want Contreras catching Yu at this point. I mean, I'm kinda just desperate to see him not pitch like ass, but Contreras being the worst framer in all of baseball can't possibly be helping things.
  11. Most of Wilson's numbers are just as bad as last year, or worse. Using him has been a risk all season regardless of the sample size of the end result of his last few outings.
  12. http://coldslitherpodcast.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/big-lob-lookin-good1.gif?w=300
  13. He didn't actually stop sucking; just got lucky for a little while stranding guys on base. Stuff like his FIP and walk rate are terrible.
  14. Short notice, but these are next 3 users up to start tonight's game thread: PackLandVA (2-1) philosophizer75 (0-1) Ding Dong Johnson (1-1)
  15. I have actual physical pain watching Wilson pitch. He has no horsefeathering clue where the ball is going. Ever.
  16. Wilson being honest and reminding everyone that he clearly still sucks.
  17. Maybe if they promise Schwarber he's allowed to eat an entire pizza if he drives in a run he'll do it.
