  1. I'd settle for seeing him win one. here's a fun fact...how many runs have the cubs scored in hill's four losses? 1 (that's combined) pretty sure it wouldn't matter much if hill had an era of 8 or 1...the offense is the problem, not rich hill. It's really convenient to toss that out and then not mention how many runs he's given up in his games pitched this season. Hell, last season, too. Obviously, the offense is letting guys down, but Hill on the mound typically means you need 5-6 runs just to keep it close, almost every single time. He's a useless sack of meat.
  2. It really is distressing that Hill was held in such high regard for so long by the people that control the fate of this team. I'm fully expecting Felix Pie to not only be a terrible ball player in the majors, but probably also a serial killer based on how badly this team's handlers misjudges the up and coming prospects..
  3. The fury! The discipline! THE FEAR. Zambrano the manager would snap somebody like Neifi in half just to get going in the morning.
  4. I'd settle for seeing him win one.
  5. The collision isn't shouldn't even be the issue. Barrett tweeked because AJ slapped the plate, probably talked some trash or made some absurd noise and then basically elbowed Barrett aside going for his helmet. Subtract all those things, ESPECIALLY the last one, I highly doubt Barrett takes the swing. Dwelling on whether he should have slid or not is moot.
  6. Fixed for truth. The only thing people should be asking Hill about is how much the used Lincoln is over in the corner of the lot. He can jaw when he isn't God-awful. Until then, "no comment" and go work on your fastball, you soft-armed gimp. I can't believe I'm agreeing with Ozzie. What in the hell is this world coming to?
  7. He used to have it. Then they changed what "it" was, and now what he has isn't "it" and what's "it" seems weird and scary to him. Then he became the suckiest suck who ever sucked, who couldn't build a team even if it was the buildingest day of his life and he had an electrified building machine.
  8. If there's even a shred of truth to that, Hendry needs to pursue that lead with every ounce of of strength left in flabby body. But, odds are Lee's just talking smack to increase whatever the Brewers offer him to re-sign with them. It's a nice dream...but probably a pipe dream at best.
  9. What good is Z batting going to do? Offensively, he's crapping the bed, just like everyone else on this team.
  10. It's sad that the two most impressive things I've seen anyone on this team do this year are two of the stupidest...Zambrano snapping the bat over his knee and Barrett cold-cocking AJ.
  11. I'd be more pissed, but Barrett's bat has won them how many games over the last 20? I hope everyone starts tossing out punches at this point. Forfeit the season!
  12. Never, never, never, never, NEVER, not once, thought that he would do a damn thing after seeing him this year. Even with his minor league numbers, he just felt like a disaster waiting to happen. That Hendry didn't pounce on the opportunity to trade him during last year, in the offseason, or while he was in the minors this year (especially when Marshall broke in out of nowhere), shows how lacking this organization is when it comes to making bold managerial moves. Hill's future seems to be molding to be a relief guy who comes in a gets you 1 or 2 outs and that's it. Or being sold with that kind of suggestion. GET THEE GONE, RICH HILL.
  13. I asked the same question. Someone else said "nothing" Carlos never lowers himself to become a common brawler. Carlos was busy having his minions oil up his bone-crushing muscles before he graced the field with his presence, but alas, the fracas was over before he could lay the hammer down.
  14. Zambrano pitches 7 full innings, strikes out 6, walks 3, gives up 3 hits and 2 runs. Cubs lose, 2-0.
  15. Neifi is gonna bunt one out of the park. Bank on it. Holy crap...he got into a DP faster than I could type this post.
  16. The Cubs' fire is more like an electrical short that sneaks up on you by bursting ablaze in the wall hours later when it's too late to do anything.
  17. I only saw Hill and Mabry, no sign of Maddux. You're right...the video quality is kinda crappy and I lost track watching it...ended up thinking Hill was Mabry at the end and Mabry was Maddux...
  18. JUAN PIERRE IS ON FIRE!!!!111!!!!111!!!111ONE!1!11111
  19. Watching the clip of the fight, is Maddux as one of the first guys running in there?
  20. The Cubs should be honored to witness a WS-level team giving them a hands on tutorial as to how to play in Chicago and not suck.
  21. I think Lee gave Hill a cast to the groin "pep talk" in between innings.
  22. Pierre has found a new infield position to pathetically ground out ot over and over again...impressive.
  23. Did anyone here honestly think Hill should come up and pitch again, even with his numbers in the minors this season? I kept praying he'd be traded, but nooooooooooooo...
