With Pie off to such a hot start in AAA, is there a chance that Jones gets traded and they are seeing if Murton can play right just in case? Nah, because Pie would be the RF between the two. I think it's for the anticipated Floyd and Murton OF. I agree, but they may just want to make sure that Murton can play right in case Pie comes up and really struggles or on days he needs off. They need to get prospects for Jones and package them with Murton and others in a deal for Cabrera so they can start Cabrera, Pie, Soriano out there. Then it won't matter if Pie struggles. I'm sold Jones won't gett you the players you need to get Cabrera, not unless you're also dipping into the Cubs prospect. Z, however, would.

Murton getting benched again for lesser player

It should be noted Murton lined out after a good AB in which he worked the count. He still is up there with DLee and Aram in having good ABs, and he tagged the ball right at Freel. It happens sometimes, but still a good, solid AB. Hopefully he'll average more than 0.9 PA/game next week. Somehow, I doubt it. I'd only doubt it if Aramis isn't back. -

I don't think it's going to be this barren for the rest of the year, but I feel that this team still needs a significant offensive push. My "trade Z NOW" sense is in overdrive, and I think they use him to ultimately get a #3 hitter and Lee gets moved to being #2. -

I'd like to see Murton and Floyd in there, but while Aramis is out I can understand making sure Floyd is playing based on power alone.

I understand Lou wanting Floyd in there with Aramis being out the last 2 games...so why not shift Soriano temporarily back to 2nd, Jacque over to CF and then plug Murton or Floyd into RF and the other in LF? The OF defense might be scary, but the offensive upside is infinitely better than having to have Izturius and Cedeno both batting. -
Anyone know if Aramis might be back today, even if just off the bench?

I think his arm would have to fly off for him to be bumped in that incredibly unlikely dual return.

A-rod? blue chip bundle? I'll take either, happily and with gusto, though I'd spin off those prospects for Cabrera.
