    Not the best analogy since the having the homefield and the homecrowd is actually a factor in the WS. The SB is neutral to begin with.

    5 Guys trounces S&S. I've also enjoyed In & Out, but their burgers seem really thin and less filling compared to what you get at 5 Guys, plus 5 Guys' fries pretty much beats out everyone else, plus you only need a singe regular order of fries to feed like 3 people sine they basically fill the bag with them. Be warned: 5 Guys in Chicago is pretty pricey. I don't know why the prices jumped here compared to where else I've been to them in the country, but the burgers that were around $3 are now around $5.

    I don't understand why people would be so pissed (I mean, on a superficial level, I get it). So many of the tickets are just high-priced corporate gifts and packages and the like already. The location of the Super Bowl is almost totally meaningless in terms of the teams or the fanbases by design. Go ahead and do it.

    Guess you might as well stop following them. I might. Hendry failed every move he made this offseason. Our bullpen is a disaster. Our hitting blows. Our SP isn't as good as it was last year. I'd hate for you to waste your time.

    I officially apologize to anyone that was annoyed with my past pessimistic irrationality. The main reason I visit game threads is to remind myself that no matter how bad I feel during/after a cubs loss, somebody is feeling worse and/or overreacting far more. It's kinda like watching The Jerry Springer Show when you are feeling bad about your own screwed up life to remind you that it could be a whole lot worse. Pretty much. When the Cubs play like this it's incredibly frustrating, but the game threads (and now many of the other threads, too) act as a kind of therapy where I can see just how absolutely bonkers some people get.

    Because he knows when to steal. He's able to produce runs as good as anybody in the game. He's the best there is. Period. Exactly.

    I didn't watch much of the game yesterday, but I saw Noah attempt and utterly fail a dunk in the 3rd quarter. Well, that seals the deal. All of his other dunks are now negated. Yes, I know that's not what you actually said.

    Noah was the only one who showed up at all last night. He wasn't great but compared to the rest of the team he was Bill Russell out there. Virus doesn't care what anyone says or what actually happens...NOAH CAN'T DO ANYTHING OFFENSIVELY. HE KNOWS IT.

    Yup. I would have happily taken the defense to get that (healthy) bat. Would Dunn in RF really be world-changingly different defensively than dealing with a hobbled Bradley and Hoff instead?

    Never heard of it. Is it a big a chain? Because Im in the Navy, lived for years in 4 different states and have never heard a word about it. Same goes for In and Outs. :? Up and down the East Coast and now into the Midwest.

    Exactly. I took the boos over the HR as smply boos by the home crowd over the fact that the visitors just hit a HR. Bruce was then booed over anything else he did later in the game. Those clearly weren't boos for or at Harden at all.

    LULZ WHUT It's an Arrested Development reference. But I certainly apologize that offends anyone. Figured it was nonsensical enough to not ruffle any fathers. I was just sort of blown away by the nonsensicalness.
