  1. There's no such thing as a "small fries" at Five Guys. It's either large or a regular, and a regular order is still half the bag filled with fries.
  2. Excellent burgers, and they're truly giganic, but it's VERY expensive.
  3. Lee was working his shoulder when he got in to 2nd like it was bugging him.
  4. Well, yeah. It's not like we're talking restaurant-quality burgers with this list. That's a whole other thing.
  5. How would the SB be taken away from football fans? Almost all of them can only see it on TV in the first place.
  6. Not the best analogy since the having the homefield and the homecrowd is actually a factor in the WS. The SB is neutral to begin with.
  7. 5 Guys trounces S&S. I've also enjoyed In & Out, but their burgers seem really thin and less filling compared to what you get at 5 Guys, plus 5 Guys' fries pretty much beats out everyone else, plus you only need a singe regular order of fries to feed like 3 people sine they basically fill the bag with them. Be warned: 5 Guys in Chicago is pretty pricey. I don't know why the prices jumped here compared to where else I've been to them in the country, but the burgers that were around $3 are now around $5.
  8. Thanks, 13-year-old girl from 1998.
  9. I don't understand why people would be so pissed (I mean, on a superficial level, I get it). So many of the tickets are just high-priced corporate gifts and packages and the like already. The location of the Super Bowl is almost totally meaningless in terms of the teams or the fanbases by design. Go ahead and do it.
  10. Guess you might as well stop following them. I might. Hendry failed every move he made this offseason. Our bullpen is a disaster. Our hitting blows. Our SP isn't as good as it was last year. I'd hate for you to waste your time.
  11. Guess you might as well stop following them.
  12. I officially apologize to anyone that was annoyed with my past pessimistic irrationality. The main reason I visit game threads is to remind myself that no matter how bad I feel during/after a cubs loss, somebody is feeling worse and/or overreacting far more. It's kinda like watching The Jerry Springer Show when you are feeling bad about your own screwed up life to remind you that it could be a whole lot worse. Pretty much. When the Cubs play like this it's incredibly frustrating, but the game threads (and now many of the other threads, too) act as a kind of therapy where I can see just how absolutely bonkers some people get.
  13. Because he knows when to steal. He's able to produce runs as good as anybody in the game. He's the best there is. Period. Exactly.
  14. Oh my, so many of you are going to be so entertaining. This is gonna be good.
  15. What the hell do you know about crapping?
  16. I didn't watch much of the game yesterday, but I saw Noah attempt and utterly fail a dunk in the 3rd quarter. Well, that seals the deal. All of his other dunks are now negated. Yes, I know that's not what you actually said.
  17. Noah was the only one who showed up at all last night. He wasn't great but compared to the rest of the team he was Bill Russell out there. Virus doesn't care what anyone says or what actually happens...NOAH CAN'T DO ANYTHING OFFENSIVELY. HE KNOWS IT.
  18. Yup. I would have happily taken the defense to get that (healthy) bat. Would Dunn in RF really be world-changingly different defensively than dealing with a hobbled Bradley and Hoff instead?
