    I'm not sure the voters will necessarily look at it that way, even if they should. The voters are usually stupid, but they'll see him as a high profile rookie on the winningest team in the NL and give it to him anyway. That's the key. He's had a good year, especially given his age, but if he was playing on the usual Nats it wouldn't have been surprising at all for him to not get it.
