  2. I want an entire Bryant ensemble.
  3. His awesome name alone makes this even more sad.
  4. Man, it seems like the Cardinals complain a lot: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/adam-wainwright-complains-mickey-mouse-antics-adrian-gonzalez-062256117--mlb.html I thought that was mostly a La Russa thing.
  5. What a ludicrous idea. Just hire one of the several more than qualified names and save the trades for an actual [expletive] player.
  6. Ya lousy hockey puck.
  7. I'd rather watch the Bartman inning on a 3 hour continuous loop than watch hockey. That the filthy Blackhawks have won TWO championships since 2003 and have brought a godforsaken resurrection of hockey here is even worse than the White Sox winning the WS in 2005.
  8. Yuuuuuuuuuuuup. This is all [expletive] they should have gone through already. So annoying.
  9. Yeah, it's crazy how much of a kid he still looks like vs. what he's already doing. Really, really exciting. The pessimist in me is still terrified of Baez busting, but I'm all in on Bryant. Though that could just be racism.
  10. Or it's just a sore knee. It's not like he wouldn't have had something like this happen if he hadn't had the Big One.
  11. Well, I'm still annoyed about the years of suckage; "peace of mind" means towards the Cardinals winning it in a year like this. It used to drive me nuts, but hey, if my team is garbage when it goes down, so be it. My fury over the Cubs losing out when it actually matters will be much more outrageous. As for the rest...I'm going to live forever as a sexy cyborg, so creeping death means nothing.
  12. Too much? That doesn't seem like enough.
  13. So would Castro, Rizzo and Castillo. Not that I am opposed to trading any of them in the right deal, but when you set the criteria like that you can make the case for trading anyone.
  14. The problem is, everything we have to look forward to, the Cardinals have too. So it's not like we can just count off the days until their window slams shut like the Brewers. Well, yeah, that's why I said I'll be pissed then; then it'll be a good Cubs team losing to them (not that I think they'll automatically lose to the Cardinals; they're just still going to lose to them a lot based on how many times they face each other and inevitably some of those games will be big games). The Cardinals winning when the Cubs have almost no chance is just a thing.
  15. Hey, good for them. I've found much more peace of mind accepting the Cardinals' recent success so long as the Cubs are putting out teams made up of rubber bands and dog poop. When the Cubs are good again then I'll be pissed again.
  16. Transparent aluminum.
  17. WHO ARE THE SCUM VOTING NO.
  18. Is this a Bruce Miles-type situation?
  19. Uhhhhhhhhhhhh.
  20. Damn, dude, quit freaking out and just use your words better.
  21. It's been noted practically since day one; it was a debated pick at the time and he's taken a ton of [expletive] for it since he selected him.
  22. What? I'm asking what you mean by "held accountable," that seemingly implies there should be some sort of consequence. Calm down.
  23. "Held accountable?" Meaning, what, he should be fired for drafting Shea McClellin?
  24. I'd pump the breaks on Maddux being the greatest pitcher in our history. If it's our history then his braves years are thrown out, if that's the case he can't touch Mordecai Brown. It's a lot closer than you'd think.
  25. Baseball is pretty, pretty, pretty lame these days.
