  1. Sorry, 20-11.
  2. There's definitely a team that should be embarrassed as the time winds down in a 20-9 4th quarter, and it sure as [expletive] isn't the Knicks.
  3. It actually was pretty warm...but gross and damp for sure. I think it was in the 60's or 70's even. I've been to every opener since 2007... 2007 was horribly cold, 2009 was horribly wet and cold, 2010 was amazing...2011 was crappy and really cold. this year was not bad. But yeah..2010..that was awesome. Man, I am convinced I remember it as being cold. Probably mixing it up with one of the other years, bu we were on the 3B/LF side, which typically gets pounded by wind. Probably mixing it up with 2007; whichever year it was we were filling out those credit card forms like crazy to get the free blankets.
  4. I totally bought into the hype. Ate up the clips of him on YouTube, totally fell for the goofy talk that had him as a middle ground between Ichiro and Matsui...DAMMIT.
  5. I was at that game, too. It was a miserable, miserable day; felt like one of the coldest home openers I had been to in a while, plus it was just gross and damp and gray. A crappy loss, but Fukudome rocking Gagne to tie it was worth it.
  6. He went back to Japan this season...and suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked .198/.295/.335 in 241 PA's. bloody hell Man, that is not cool. I remember being so excited about that signing...and that awesome opening day. BAH.
  7. Yeah, do all that, but cry and whine about some of the games and incite the racists in the fanbase, too.
  8. I wouldn't be so worried about the short term as much as the early burnout on these guys careers. Right, which is why I said there's nobody who wouldn't be fine with him playing guys less, but the repeated talk as if he's overused guys already to the point of injuring them is just bunk.
  9. Everybody is freaking out sooo much and you're so cool and calm and stuff. Yeah! You show em! Not sure why you're saying this like it's a bad thing, but alright.
  10. I don't think you're going to find anyone who wouldn't mind him playing his key players less, but almost all of the major injuries/medical injuries that have sidelined Deng, Noah and Rose in the playoffs under Thibs have happened regardless of their playing time. How many times is this meme going to come up like he's actually causing injuries with the playing time he's dishing out?
  11. Yesssss. This thread was already off to a roaring start of hilarity, but now the master is here to show all the noobs how it's really done.
  12. Somethingsomething edging somethingsomething.
  13. I didn't know there were people that didn't think Marshall was a scumbag.
  14. Adults; everyone did their drinking the weekend before.
  15. coincidentally, i think we were having this discussion the last time hoops was a poster Man, I loved the Greene theory after 2007, but I had no idea that he was a psycho (that works with both him and Meph).
  16. Pitchers currently take 5% of NL plate appearances, and basically zero in high leverage/late inning situations, so, not much? 5% is plenty...and the DH would still be taking more than that assuming he's not the worst hitter in the lineup. Plus it's not simply a matter of the pitcher not hitting; it's also taking way PA's from the humps that take up space on the bench.
  17. The Bulls have shown that kicking the [expletive] out of the Heat in the regular season doesn't really mean squat, so I'm not sure what tomorrow would prove either way.
  18. Works for me; whatever it takes to get the screen up ASAP.
  19. How much are you thinking they are buying? I have no idea; I'm guessing whichever ones would be blocked/obstructed by their planned renovation and likely would sue. Isn't that most of them?
  20. Makes sense, but holy [expletive], isn't this potentially the missing piece in all of the debate about how the payroll is going to end up slashed?
  21. GROSS, and I was right.
  22. Who the hell is their announcer? He sounds like this guy: http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/RORm1z90-Bs/hqdefault.jpg
  23. I don't think I'd ever be at a "oh, it's cool if they lose this" point with any of my teams if they're actually playing for a championship, regardless of how many they've won recently. It just seems like an odd thing to single out with the plethora of actual reasons to point out how terrible their fans are.
