  1. Well, that's one to meltdown to try and gloss over your shitty season.
  2. http://replygif.net/i/528.gif hahaha omg I forgot how much I loved that show Yeah I didn't appreciate it as much as a teenager. No, you appreciated it too much.
  3. I've gone from not being fond of Rizzo to feeling so sorry for him
  4. Though that melange of meh is also bookended by the Shark trade, so what do I know.
  5. I liked Vance Law as a kid simply because he wore big dorky glasses like I did. Side note: I went to Cubs convention one time and I got one autograph: Vance Law. This is entirely due to my: a) not being an autograph hound (I've subsequently realized there is little other reason to attend said convention) and b) remembering how strongly I identified with him being bespectacled. I was disappointed to find him wearing contact lenses. This is great.
  6. You're not giving yourself enough credit; you've never changed your approach whereas B2B stopped with the insane trade proposals and now just takes shots at the FO.
  7. If the goal of this post was to make me feel better then it failed completely. Thanks a lot, Debbie Downer. They came out of the gate strong with the Rizzo trade, and then the rest very possibly ends up amounting to a couple years or so of useful relievers when they're actually good (and yeah, I'm including CJ Edwards because I'm assuming he's never going to be healthy enough). Woof. My kingdom for an actual dual/multi-front approach.
  8. Though if there are teams desperate enough for Jackson, there's always people looking for a meth dealer-looking southpaw.
  9. http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=5905&position=P http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/02/reds-extend-sean-marshall.html Oh, I'm not saying it shouldn't have happened; just that it's ultimately a non-move in the grand scheme of things if he turns out he only really produced when the Cubs were a black hole of suck. So...yay? Sean Marshall would have been gone after 2012. 2012 was to be a lost season. Whether or not we knew it at the time, the folks in charge did. We cashed him in for a young starting pitcher with several years under team control, a high ceiling low level prospect, and another guy who seemed like he could have been of some use at the time. It's a "tree falling in the forest making a sound" conundrum, not "should they have moved Sean Marshall at the time." Wood could just suck, the other two lumps of meat are gone...it might as well have never happened.

  11. I GUESS the Travis Wood move was still a good one? Does it count if his value occurred in the no-man's land of the last several years?
  12. Man, 2014 Travis Wood makes me a sad puddytat.
  13. Rizzo astride the basepath like a colossus.
  14. Lake-Olt-Barney hitting back to back to back might be one of the most offensive things I have ever seen.
  15. THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYIN'.
  16. Jesus, it's that low now? I just assumed it was still around 80%.
  17. If he's the rare guy that can pull that off, great. 9 times out of 10 I just find myself furious at steals and hit and runs and the like.
  18. Oh yeah.
  19. Unless he's Tony Campana I'm down.
