  1. Well, if anyone would have a use for two penises it is probably Brad Pitt.
  2. Painter is on the coaches committee for that poll. Perhaps he gave Duke the 1 lone first place vote to keep his team playing with a chip on their shoulder.
  3. LewJack did not play. Purdue didn't look that bad. Completely manhandled St. Jo's in the 2nd half. What is that trophy in your sig? It's the 1932 National Championship trophy. The picture accompanied and article about how the team was driven to make the Final Four in Indy this season. Eyes on the prize. That's just plain sad. I'm proud of the 32 NC and have mentioned it to friends before when they say we've never won one but I sure as hell wouldn't be using like this. It's not really something to brag about. It's cool and nice but doesn't mean much to any other fan base and most of the time I mention it they laugh. The pic is not bragging about it. The trophy symbolizes the NCAA championship. It's a goal and it's what this team is after. I didn't think it was that cryptic. Maybe reading the accompanying article would have helped.
  4. I can't find the article to verify but it certainly looks like an NCAA championship trophy and since that's their only one I would guess it is. I'd much rather enjoy Purdue's current athletics program's success than sit around thinking remember when they were good.

  7. Ok, so after watching a half, watford, creek, and rivers look like they may become decent players. The freshman are fine, but can someone tell me why IU is having such a lousy recruiting year presently? I just checked rivals, and they ZERO players in the top 100 and only 2 in the top 150.....This isn't really acceptable. You can't rebuild with one good class and then nada... Probably has something to do with these guys
  8. Unbelievable end to that Nova/GMU game. How did they not get a shot off?
  9. Honestly I don't think much is needed this off season. If in fact they can move Theriot and Marmol for Granderson as well as shipping Bradley for Cordero that would be just about enough. Bring back Harden, Grabow and Johnson. CF-Granderson RF-Fukudome 1B-Lee 3B-Ramirez LF-Soriano 2B-Baker C-Soto SS-Blanco Z, Harden, Lilly, Wells, Dempster, Gorzo/Marshall fills in for Lilly to start season. Pen- Marshall/Gorzo, Guzman, Cordero, Stevens, Grabow Bench- Hill, Johnson, Fox, Fontenot, Hauffpauier, Fuld
  10. So, trading him for a Sandberg like player would be par for the course.
  11. Funny. Last night did just the opposite for me.
  12. At least Miggy can reconvene his party
  13. I would have actually gotten a nice chuckle if he did say that.
  14. Never. I do like the Pirates though only because I'm in Indy and get to see their AAA team play a lot so I'm familiar with a lot of their players. It's nice to see them play well and win when the Cubs aren't kicking the crap out of them.
  15. Why is this a foregone conclusion? It's not. However, Soriano will have to rebound for the Cubs to have a decent chance at making the playoffs next year. Or Ramirez plays a full season and Soto doesn't suck. I don't think their payoff chances rely solely on Soriano's production.
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/news/story?id=4496640 Bradley wants to stay. Apparently his child expierenced the racism at school. First of all I don't think adults are calling a toddler the n word. I tried to picture a scenario in which an adult could direct that kind of angry aggression towards a little tyke. All I could picture was a 3 year old version of MB brooding and stomping around which could totally be reality but I still can't see that prompting racial slurs upon him. Or this is MB's kid. http://slicedbreadtwo.com/images/uploads/thats_racist.gif
  17. The Reds owe the Cubs a favor for drafting and trading Josh Hamilton. Time to call that favor in. :D If Dusty is still around that might not be a bad idea. Milton and Dusty would be a match made in heaven.
  18. the park certainly helped, but he was still really good. he's shown he can get hot and putu p big numbers. the problem is, most years he doesn't get that hot. also, iirc milton had a ridiculous babip last season I do think there is something to the whole "contract year" phenomenon. Not just with Milton, but with tons of other guys as well. There is not. Adrian Beltre says hi.
  19. Why would you need batting gloves to strikeout looking?
