  1. Can we have Adam Dunn? Please. As good as he is, we don't have a spot for him. We have Lee where he should be playing, 1B, and if you thought our outfield defense was bad now, adding Dunn would make it worse. He's about equivalent to putting a glove on a statue out there. LOL that's a joke right? You don't have room for 40 homers, 100 RBIs, and high OBP? I agree completely that we could use Dunn, but at some point you have to consider defense at the expense of more offense.. no way. stick dunn at 2b. we'll be fine.
  2. i don't know if it's rare or not, but it's pretty odd to see a pair of mediocre pitchers like this have that amount of success over the batters they're facing (though in admittedly small sample sizes).
  3. Only ones that were silly enough to draft said old man. 3.84 ERA last year and he's on a good team so you'll get wins. I took him with my last pick in a few leagues. i'd like to thank autodrafting for picking kenny rogers haha in the last league i drafted yesterday, someone got stuck with this amazing pitching staff: Kenny Rogers Josh Johnson Javy Vazquez Armando Benitez JJ Putz Roger Clemens Seth McClung

  7. it would be much more encouraging if he didn't have 6 walks total last year
  8. He hasn't looked any better. His past 2 starts have been pretty good. Define Pretty good? pretty good as said by person on the scene, namely Bruce Miles.
  9. ...Wow!!! How'd you find that? a friend linked me to it earlier.

  13. i think they're hilarious. Agreed, they're actually pretty funny. Really? They haven't been able to keep my attention. I don't like the older guys voice... i don't know about balsa, but i think they're funny because of how bad they are. it fits with the royals.
  14. yes i believe that samardzija should be run out to 1b because he's a rookie. and while we're at it lets send rocky cherry to LF and...we'll make jake fox pitch.
  15. what the hell. "What if the scoreboard exploded?" wow.
  16. Prior's beginning the season on the DL? He's been a "problem all spring"? This is new information to me.
  17. No, but I have one more league to draft in.
  18. Please post more. definitely.
  19. Seconded. They take themselves much more seriously now. should say "he". it's all run by one guy. he also runs rotoauthority, which I think is the much better of the two blogs. he also runs allcubs, but rarely posts there. i think mlbtraderumors is at least a credible roundup of the various rumors on the web, but it's really not much more than that.
  20. Since this is his age 27 season, it wouldn't surprise me to see him reach career highs. He'll be entering his prime. so after his OPS trend of 957/927/855 the past three years, you feel pretty good about him putting up a 1040 OPS this year. i wouldn't include the second year since he was playing with a broken hand, but last year he was definitely unlucky.
  21. 262/402/552
  22. 5-10 over, usually.
