    Marshall has his first bad start of the season, Cubs win 12-7 because the Rangers are worse than we are. Sammy hits 600.

    It was between 3-4 weeks. The incident was on May 20th, his suspension didn't start until June 16th. I was thinking 7-8 games, so I'm content with the suspension.

    bellhorn was a monster in that game. him and sammy were a wrecking crew on my WS-winning team in the only full season I played with that game.

    i think managers are hesitant to put rookies in that role. look at what happened with sean tracey on the white sox last year. then again, piniella isn't as completely insane as guillen.

    they should have eyre start the game, and he can throw pitches until he finally hits someone. then bring in Hill.

    "I would hit one of his teammates in the ribs" isn't really bad, but it looks terrible in light of the incident today.

    I'm not sure that is a great idea. I know personally I would not be very happy if someone went "out on a limb" accusing me of something without actual facts. If there's footage of you mouthing it, then it's totally called for. What footage?? What did he say!? you get a pretty good view on the highlights MLB.com has up right now. I couldn't pick up what he was saying. Whatever he said made Derrek turn and say, "what!?" I can't find any, can you link me to it? it's on MLB.com's main page. here's another look The Fight this view isn't so great and the quality is meh.

    it's kind of hard to take him seriously when he's campaigning for Willy Taveras and Kaz Matsui (but only when he has enough ABs!) to be on the all-star team. he has something of a good point, but it's shrouded in idiocy.

    miguel batista sucks slightly more than the cubs. cubs win 9-7 in preparation for the slugfest that is marquis/weaver. Any chance the wind blows out for that one?
