  1. Someone should e-mail Len and tell him that he wouldn't be jinxing it if he says it.
  2. Oilers score --Pronger---lead 2-0 Yes! Go Oilers!
  3. Z!'s line makes it look like he hit a grand slam.
  4. Why would you encourage him to enter this thread right now? I'm not encouraging, I'm making sure he's not near the thread!
  5. Jon Rauch is still pitching. Now Glendon giving up TWO to Arroyo...auto retire/kill yourself. They faceoff again on Thursday I believe.
  6. I saw Z! hit that and just laughed. I had a feeling he would homer tonight. What's with this team lately? Runs, what are runs?
  7. that's not the spirit! i said we were going to be swept before the weekend started and we took two out of three! Now, I'm not only clamoring for the Astros to sweep us in this series, I want them to no-hit us in every game! No-hits all around! PS go cubs
  8. he doesn't keep anything in play, he just hits home runs. And then, because he doesn't strike out that often, he makes most of his outs in play. And like TT said, it's in line with his LD%
  9. He walked 2 fewer times in May than April. There really wasn't a significant dropoff there. He's yet to walk in June and has struck out 5 times though.
  10. He's walking at about the same rate he did last year this season.. He is a first pitch hacker, IIRC, but otherwise shows good pitches. He is K'ing a bit more this year. I don't like his sub-400 SLG, that's what bothers me. Unless you mean a different date than April 1st, he hasn't been significantly different from last year in that aspect.
  11. why would you put Pierre second? Switching the two of them is going to have almost no impact on the game. I'd almost rather Womack 2nd in that situation in case he comes up with 2 outs. Anyways, I'd go: Womack 2B Walker 1B Barrett C Jones RF Ramirez 3B Murton LF Cedeno SS Pierre CF
  12. I can't believe I just read all of that. Was there a game somewhere in there?
  13. Who has the time to come up with this stuff? I didnt find it to be funny at all, I found it to be a waste of my time. thanks for bumping the wrestling thread, by the way
  14. it definitely helped tonight, what with 2 line drives up the middle and bynum popping up a bunt and almost bunting into a DP.
  15. not so bold prediction: we suck again and get shutout by Ponson.
  16. I see what you were trying to say ;)
  17. we scored 27 runs in the three games prior to this one. So yes, we can buy runs. We can't score them, however, with Neifi Perez batting 2nd and all of our hitters swinging at pitches early in counts.
  18. yeah, this is just bizarre. The offense lights up with Womack in the lineup and we promptly take him out. Odd. On the bright-side, we did score 5 runs with Neifi batting 2nd on Friday. ](*,)
  19. NL CYA: Brandon Webb AL CYA: Jose Contreras NL MVP: Albert Pujols AL MVP: JI --------- JIM THOME NL ROTY: Hanley Ramirez AL ROTY: Justin Verlander NL Comeback Player of the Year: NOMAH AL Comeback Player of the Year: Jim Thome
  20. I would still consider this to be a bold prediction. Normally I would too, but Z! is like my personal brain slug: the mere mention of his name tells me not to say it's a bold prediction.
