  1. That's a lie. Quit exaggerating. But, it was a dumb foul.
  2. They're down by 5 going into the 4th quarter at home. You should love the position that they're in. It just happened to come at the expense of a 12-0 closing run by Boston. It's not over.
  3. 12-0 run by the Celts. The Bulls really need Salmons to play well in this 4th quarter.
  4. Really? Yes really. Look at how the Bulls have played at home lately. They are 8-1 against their last 9 playoff teams at home. 14-2 overall in their last 16. They are a different team at home, and the UC will be rocking. Really? Also, what the hell do former playoff games have to do with this year? Boston has better basketball players. Reading is comprehension. Who the hell said a damn thing about former playoff games? Read the damn sentence again and if you cant figure it our, then ask someone for help, its not that difficult. Oh. Touche. Although, it's funny that the man who predicted a blowout is questioning my intelligence.
  5. I suppose. And, not to mention I was too young to really even be that much into sports when Jordan [expletive] on our dreams. The '95 and '97 WS(s) were the beginning of my attention to sports.
  6. And Elway. And the Marlins. :-({|=

Cool, now we have the Cavs guy mocking us too. Just pile it on. I wasn't mocking. Boston is a better team. Everyone of you knew it coming into the series. Everyone of you knew it even after they weren't playing Garnett. It was a great game 1 win, but it didn't change the fact that Boston is better. I'm rooting for the Bulls because I have no vested interest in the game and it's always more fun to root for the underdog. I just think it's ridiculous the way some people overreact. Also, using former playoff games is just about the most stupid justification for a predicted blowout that I can think of.
  8. It's what Chicago teams do best. White Sox WS, 6 Bulls championships, hell even the '85 Bears win is fresh in the mind of Chicago fans in comparison to some other cities. Hello Clevelend. :bye:

  10. Hey, hey. Slow down. We're not dumping our season yet.
  11. never know these days.... Stop, just admit it went over your head. That's because it wasn't a joke. The 1926 championship shouldn't count either because it ended with Babe Ruth (of all people) trying to steal a base. He was out by a mile and Hornsby was later seen paying for the Babe's hookers with a wod of $50 bills. Obviously the series was fixed. That's a lot of 1926 hookers.
  12. Kerry got the save despite trying his best not to.
  13. Wait, what? Maybe four years ago. He's not close to top 10 now. Let's see: LBJ Kobe Wade Paul Howard KG--when healthy Kevin Durant Brandon Roy Carmelo Anthony Yao Ming You're right 1908, Pierce is no longer a Top 10 player. Then when you throw out players like Chris Bosh, Deron Williams, Al Jefferson, Steve Nash, Tim Duncan, Danny Granger, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Caron Butler, Shawn Marion, and I don't think Pierce is even a top 30 player at this point in his career. About the "C game" comment, no way that is dead on. Pierce couldn't convince himself with this statement is true, much less people watching in. The "Truth" is, Pierce knows the C's are in trouble and they were bailed out because of stupidity in the 2nd game. I definitely wouldn't put Pierce in the top 10, but no way would I put guys like Bynum, Butler, and Marion even close to him. They're another tier down.
  14. Those three are the only ones are noticeably better, yes. But there is a good debate with multiple others that are similar, or in my opinion, a bit better. See: Rondo, Nash, Baron Davis, Devin Harris (not sure if he's technically a point guard, but he gets almost 7 assists per game as a small(er) type guy), and Billups. Don't get me wrong, I think that as soon as Rose has next year in under his belt he will pass all of those besides the top 3 and possibly Rondo, but I don't think one fantastic playoff game immediately makes him a top-5 players.
  15. Whoa, whoa. Wait. No. Rose is good, but there are some much better point guards in the league. Not to say that Rose might not one day be better, but he would have a hard time cracking the top 5 mark for NBA point guards as it is right now.
  16. Hm. I wont lie. He got you pretty good. As a neutral fan (actually I'd say I would definitely prefer the Cubs over the Cardinals) I'd have to say that all of the jokes in this thread suck compared to the one the OP was debating with. Although, oxymoran made me chuckle.
  17. LaRussa is going to need some aloe vera after the burn he received in the thread title.
  18. I mean, if he had to go...what an epic way to go.
  19. Awesome. Nice job Choo.
  20. Somewhere, Dwight Howard is frowning. I figured somebody would bring that up. The two of them are dead even by most experts opinions. About half choose Howard and half choose Yao. I choose Yao for obvious reasons but you should look at their head-to-head stats. I don't really think it's even all that close. Yao is a better shooter. Leaps and bounds a better shooters. But, what does he do better than Howard outside of jump shots and FTs? Howard has only missed 3 total games in his 5 seasons in the league. Yao has missed 93 in 7 seasons. Howard is much better defensively and pulls down a whole lot more boards.
  21. What a terrible, terrible call. It was clear as day. I don't even think it was a judgment call. That's ridiculous.
  22. Your team is playing in Yankee Stadium against Yankee batting practice. They can do it. Hah. I suppose. Two more HR through 3 innings. Man, the ball really flies out of there. And Pavano is perfect through 3 so far. 3-0 tribe. :)
  23. Somewhere, Dwight Howard is frowning.
  24. Pavano is pitching for the Indians, so we will need 10-11 if we want to win. :(
