  1. Which is all I hear from Illinois football fans, some hope that they could once again become a legitimate team. Nobody's saying look out Ohio St. and Michigan, people are saying, hey if things work out we can beat a 4-4 Big 12 team. Well yeah, but obviously da bears is pissed off about the loss, and probably has to deal with a lot of crap living in Illinois, that's why he's crazy today. I certainly don't think it's inconceivable for Illinois to beat Mizzou in football. Yeah, exactly. Anyways I agree. I think Mizzou should beat Illinois, but I dont put it past Missouri to blow it against any team. Hell I was worried about Murry State to start the year.

At least the game was competitive again.
  3. Don't count on either. Pruitt, Randle, Frazier, etc. Basically all but Carter and McBride are back. Illinois Football is on the way up too. You really think a 2-10 team is gonna beat an 8-4 team when we return like 16 starters? Remember, in college football, juniors and seniors win games NOT true freshman. Luckily Juice will be a true sophomore next year. And I like complaints about cockiness from fans who were talking seriously about BCS berths and Gameday appearances after beating nothing but mediocre at best teams to open the season. Should we not have? We were 6-0? We were excited about our team. Nobody really thought Gameday was coming to Columbia, especially after losing at A&M. My goodness. Maybe when Illinois starts beating some bad to mediocre teams should they expect to start beating teams mediocre to above average.

You really think a 2-10 team is gonna beat an 8-4 team when we return like 16 starters? Yes. Actually, I think it will be close. Illini and Mizzou games always seem close, no matter how good or bad one is over the other. That is true. I still find the general cockiness a bit, um, odd. But, should be a fun game. Missouri should win and will definitely be favored, though.
  5. By the way, I love this new found cockiness Illinois fans have because they're recruiting class is very good. They're in for a rude awakening if they really think they're gonna be as good as they think they will be.

  7. That was a tough one. I think Missouri finally breaks the streak next year. We return everybody, plus a transfer who supposedly is our best player in practice comes in. Ugh. This sucks. At least we get to hopefully beat Illinois in football next year .
  8. I'm just dejected right now. This one hurts a lot.
  9. Is Izturis gonna be the target of Cubs fans boos this year? I think that's who I would put my money on.
  10. If Tony Romo makes the Pro Bowl, I'm gonna be pissed. It'll only elevate my hatred for that guy.
  11. Appearently. And with the monumental loss of Tank Johnson our team will simply fall to pieces, unable to even imagine winning a playoff game. Don't forget RMJ and Hester will be their starting corners in the playoffs will certainly help make the team fall to pieces. It's ok, I like that the team will be playing with a chip on their shoulder. Exactly. They seem to play a lot better defensively anyways when theyre pissed off. I hope those experts at ESPN continue to bash the Bears, it'll only provide more motivation.
  12. Wait a minute, what's the Bears record again, 8-6?
  13. Ooooooh yeah. When I first saw that at my first game at new Soldier Field, I couldn't stop laughing.
  14. I wonder which team it will be that jumps the Bears in ESPN's power polls this week. The Saints jumped em last week, so assuming the Saints fall, I bet either the Bengals-Colts winner, or, if ESPN is truely demented, the Eagles. Cause we all know the Bears certainly aren't the third best team.
  15. Boy does ESPN have the stupidest intos for Monday Night Football. What a freakin' joke.
  16. How does Michael Irvin still have a job. He blatantly cheers for the Cowboys, even more than Ditka does for the Bears. Last week, Irvin called the Cowboys "we", this week he wanted Tony Romo to be in Steve Youngs top five quarterbacks in the NFL. What the hell. At least Ditka, which may or may not have been right, said the Bears weren't the best team in the NFC a couple weeks back. Irvin would never short change his team. What a bafoon.
  17. Yes I did. I watched him play many times that year as I wanted to see if Illinois could go undefeated. He was the weak spot on that team. Before you jump all over me for that, I realize that saying Augustine was the weak spot on that team isn't really saying too much because of Head, Brown, and Williams. But he never did anything that stood out to me. He just always seemed to just be on the court while the three guys I mentioned before did most of the work. Now, I'll admit that I didn't see him much last year after Head and Williams left so he could have improved a bunch and could have been more of a focal point in their offense last year. But two years ago, he didn't really do anything that stood out to me and I wasn't very impressed with his play. Fair enough. Good response.
  18. Did you even ever watch James Augustine? Do you even know who he is? Not a very good post.
  19. Just got back from the game (traffic really sucked). I have a few thoughts. 1. Rex looked really good today. I dont give a crap what Joe Buck says, I was at the game and I thought he played well. 2. If I am ever told to sit down again when its 3rd and 9 in the 4th quarter from the Bucs like 15 yard line I'm gonna lose it. Me and my buddies just ignored the people and continued to stand up, but I was ready to explode on them. If you go to a Bears game and expect that you're just gonna sit through the whole damn game, you should sell your tickets now. 3. In overtime, when Maynard punted it inside the 2 yard line, the crowd was insanely loud. I've never heard a Bears game that loud before. Two false starts that were directly caused by the crowd. It was awesome. The crowd was going crazy. 4. Once again, Joe Buck should go away and do us all a favor. 5. Defense played terrible in the second half, but in overtime, when they needed to pick it up, they did. Anyways, Bears are the number 1 seed and I'm very excited about it!
  20. Offense is terrible. Defense is terrible. Passing is terrible. Down ten points.
  21. The NBA has to change its damn continuation rule. Under no circumstance should a basket be counted after the person is fouled and takes two steps. And GEEZ Hawks making all their jumpers, Bulls cant make anything. Ugh.
  22. Up two going into the fourth. Hopefully they can blow it open.
  23. YES! Just found out I'm going to the game. My uncle called me up and said he couldnt go and gave me four tickets. I'm really pumped. Go Bears!
  24. Ben Wallace is awesome. Tyrus is gonna be awesome.
  25. Woo! Bulls gonna win again.
